Sherlock Holmes would never understand why people could be interested in dull things like emotions and friends in a world which also contained microbes, cryptography, and the great mystery of internal organs. Sherlock sighs, muttering under his breath, “The cat was dead. It was necropsy, not torture, and the fire clearly got out of hand. How many times?”
Sherlock swears that he will do whatever he has to in order not to be the cause of his mother’s tears ever again. He will become someone else. Someone who is capable of friendships and whatever else normal people like.
