"Because you’re a dragon," Seokjin says slowly, because it should be obvious, despite Namjoon not looking very dragon-y at all.

Summary
A dragon rider cares about two things: their dragon and their victory. Ever since Jimin's dragon gets too old to compete, Jimin finds himself in danger of losing both. It's a shame that his new partner, Onyx, with scales as dark as they are pretty, is a touch too playful for him to handle.

“Onyx?” Jimin calls out because it can only be him.
The boy finally shifts awake, eyes blinking as though unable to comprehend the situation. Jimin smiles fondly at him, hand pushing into his thick hair. The boy hums, eyes shut again.
“Good morning, baby. You’re a lot bigger than I expected.”
