Summary
“Roses are… romantic?” Daphne offered.
“Knowing a girl’s favourite flower is more romantic,” Astoria countered.
Daphne rolled her eyes. “Well, how are they supposed to know if I don’t tell them? Should I put up a sign? Or write it on my forehead? ‘Daphne Greengrass likes bright yellow begonias that clash horribly with her hair’?”
“If they really like you,” Astoria said simply, “they’ll figure it out on their own.”

Summary
Draco caught a glimpse of Astoria’s shocked expression half a second before the snowball found its mark. It hit her in the shoulder, exploding into pieces that went flying into her face and hair. She staggered back a couple of steps, gaping at him with a look of utmost betrayal.
“You didn’t—you wouldn’t—” she sputtered.
“Yes, Astoria?” he said patiently, straightening up again. He didn't bother to hide his smirk.

Summary
“D’you like it?”
“It is very lovely,” Fleur said, feeling the fabric. It wasn’t as exquisite as the clothes she bought in the boutiques of the Place Cachée, but it had a certain charm to it and seemed very warm. “But you look silly,” she added with a cheeky smile. And he did, in a rather endearing way: the jumper seemed too soft for Bill, especially if you took his fang earring into account. It wasn’t his style at all.
“Do I?” he said, amused. “Ouch.”
“I theenk,” she continued, running her fingers down his chest, “zat you would look better wizout it.”
“Oh really?”
“Mmhm.”
“Well, if you insist…”

Summary
There were so many things he wanted to say. He wanted to tell her that he admired her. That he’d be lost without her and her stubborn, relentless optimism. That she was his only light in a world that often seemed too dark and lonely. That he was falling in love with her.
But he couldn’t. Not yet.Series
