    Just hold on
In a minute it'll be over and gone
    Gone, gone, gone, gone

Peter goes to sleep in a world where he's criticized for being too sensitive and girlish and mocked for being too child-like, and wakes up in a world where the opposite is true and he's surrounded by the people he would like to indulge in his sensitive side with the most. Frankly, he never wants this dream to end, even if he is an impostor.

    Summary

Steve’s parents were controlling. They wanted him to graduate his final year of high school, get into a good college (despite his grades being tragically bad) and marry a cute girl. Maybe someone like Nancy. Problem was, Steve didn't really want to do any of that... and he was sick of his parents trying to plan every aspect of his life for him.

So when he tells Nancy he wants to rebel just once... before graduation, and really stick it to his parents — she cooks up a plan that honestly has no chance of working. How is Steve supposed to put up with Billy Hargrove, resident loser, skateboarding asshole with a penchant for violence and a massively bad attitude... just long enough to fake a friendship, that his parents would absolutely disprove of?

And what happens when... things don't exactly go according to plan?

    Summary

It’s probably just because he’s stoned, but Steve can’t help but crack up. His laugh sounds a little manic, a little out of it, which is really only fitting: Steve feels out of it. He can't shake the feeling that he’s stepped into an alternate reality, or some sort of diverging timeline, and it all started when he first sat down in the passenger seat of Billy Hargrove’s car looking to buy some weed.

    Summary

There was something about the Holidays that had always rubbed Steve the wrong way. When he was younger, and there were toys and sweets to look forward to, it was easier to ignore. How could he pinpoint the gnawing anxiety in his stomach when he had an air rifle to practice within the backyard, or a plate full of gingerbread cookies to down.

But he’s older now, and he gets it. He knows what it’s always been about.

    Summary

“Anyway,” Nancy carries on, “The caller has reason to believe the cabin’s new occupant might be a lone wolf.”

“Okay, and?” There’s a pound of thunder outside, rattles the floor beneath Steve’s feet.

“He might be unregistered,” Jonathan finishes, taking a sip out of his mug and looking satisfied, like he knows this is too good for Steve to pass up.

Steve sighs and runs a hand through his hair, “You got a name?”

    “William Hargrove."
