Wei Ying hangs onto Lan Wangji’s hand, his palm clammy. “I guess that means I’m finished too. He got what he wanted.”
“You are not finished.” Lan Wangji grips his hand tighter and pulls him closer. “We are not finished.”
(Or: the one where Wei Wuxian shares Lan Wangji's body with him after the sacrificing curse ends and takes his body with it.)

Wei Ying gives him yet another smile. “Nie-xiong has some pretty interesting literature, you know. You know that firsthand!” And an accompanying laugh, too loud in the echoing cavern. “Did you know some of that stuff can be paired with cultivation techniques? I bet if I help you strengthen your qi right now, you’ll feel better.”
Lan Wangji stiffens. He begins to understand what Wei Ying is implying.

Lan Zhan straightens. He doesn’t blink as he says, “Wei Wuxian.” His eyebrows make the barest arc upward. “What is the nature of your visit?”

"They seem to be doing better," he says, encouragingly. "If they--oh, no, I see what you mean."
At the near bank, someone has pressed someone else against the rocks and is kissing them frantically.

Wei Wuxian bows in return, and the sect leaders begin the opening courtesies, and for all of ten minutes Lan Wangji is under the impression that he is betrothed to a boy who is perfectly normal and acceptable apart from an unfortunate tendency to fidget with his clothes.
That impression does not last.
