Summary
The Dark Times are nothing more than ancient history to the humans. Fearsome tales told to all the children of the human kingdoms of Azeroth of satyr and wyvern and trolls and all the wild, fearsome things that once ruled the land. They are almost as fabled and feared as those that tamed the wilds with magic so powerful as to be incomprehensible.
High Elves, the humans called them. Ruled by an all-powerful queen. Hidden away behind invisible barriers in a land of perpetual warmth and beauty. For the elves had tamed all things. Even nature, itself.
The betrothal of Jaina Proudmoore, the first human with magic in her veins, to a Lord of the elven royalty was a convenient way for the humans to rid themselves of the perceived threat of a dangerous young woman with a gift none of them understood. It had also solidified a long-standing, tenuous truce between them. And Jaina? Well. Jaina never felt like she belonged, anyway. She has always wanted more.

Summary
Quel'Thalas drove back Arthas once, but not without dire consequence. Sylvanas is a stark reminder of that, as much as the general elven population and her family try to pretend otherwise. Stifled in a crowded houshold, amongst a family she struggles to feel a part of, Sylvanas finds respite in restoring an old, decomissioned ranger waystation out in the wilderness of Eversong Forest. Hoping the project will provide her with some semblance of purpose- and perhaps the solitude and tranquility to begin working through her trauma- her wishful thinking is short lived when she discovers that the property comes with a very unwelcome stray.

Summary
The softest laugh graces the air, a few lilting notes that are barely more than a fluttered breath, yet still music to her ears. “It’s alright. They’re a lot tougher than they look.”
Teal waves dangle gently as she tilts her head, watching as Edelgard stoops to pick up Aymr from where it fell, thankfully outside the flower patch. It heavily cratered the wood, and she tries not to draw attention to it as she lifts the giant axe to her back, fastening it to the magnet on her back plate. When she glances up, there’s the ghost of delight dancing across Byleth’s eyes, and her tone is light. “Sort of like you.”
After an explosion seemingly plunges Edelgard to her death, she awakes in a field of lilies, in the middle of a Church—with the most beautiful woman tending to her. Or, a final fantasy vii au no one asked for. || edeleth week, day 7: free day. -

Summary
There’s a flash and the world seems to spin on its axis. The candle at her feet is blown out by a strong gust of wind. And as Byleth recovers from the initial shock, she practically falls over when something even more insane registers before her.
It’s the Emperor, on her knees, breathing heavy and body battle-worn. Just like she looked when…
Through her heavy breaths, Edelgard pants, “There you go, again…my teacher… Hesitating…”
She looks up, finally, to see a completely different Byleth standing before her. No Sword of the Creator, shorter, styled hair, strange-looking clothes. And completely dumbfounded.
“Professor… What’s going on?”
