    Emma Swan is a budding playwright in Boston when on the night of her debut show she is approached by a mysterious stranger who gives her a locket that changes her life forever. Flash forward eight years later she's now successful playwright in New York but stuck with this feeling that she needs to go. After embarking on a road trip she ends up staying at the Storybrooke Grand Hotel, where she is then captivated by the portrait of a woman taken in 1955. Emma then sacrifices her life in the present to find love in the past but was it all in vain?
