    Summary

If someone had told him five years ago that, as a grown adult, he would be back in Gusu, copying scrolls in the Library Pavilion voluntarily, Wei Wuxian would have laughed his head off. You couldn’t pay me to come back to the Cloud Recesses, Land of Three Thousand Rules, he would have said. Wei Wuxian was very fortunate that this never occurred, as he had always hated eating his words.
Because here he was. Copying scrolls. And getting paid for it.

    Summary

“That’s fine,” Lan Xichen assured calmly, and relaxed his shoulders as Wangji didn’t call him out on the obvious lie. There was nothing to be worried about, after all— when Wangji was present, the entirety of Wei Wuxian’s attention was focused on his husband, as it should be.

Time passed in silence until the sound of steps moving just too slow to be considered a run came to them, and Wei Wuxian opened the door with a wild grin on his face, snow blowing in around him.

He was magnificent, cheeks cherry red from the cold and hair blown wild by the wind, and Lan Xichen’s breath caught in his throat at the sight.

    Summary

Years ago, Lan Wangji was a Senior in high school, readying himself for graduation and the coming years studying at the Gusu Lan Institute of Music. Everything in his life made sense, from his role in his family, to a future as a classical musician. The only thing that didn’t fit was the sudden epiphanies he had about himself brought on by his bothersome and flirtatious classmate, Wei Wuxian. When the growing attraction and friendship was cut short by the other boy’s disappearance, he mourned what could have been, but ultimately had to move on. What he didn’t know was that fate would bring them back together again one day, or the reality of how far apart two lives can diverge, how some can find peace and prosperity, while others can fall farther than he ever imagined.
