“I want you to tell me why my name was on that DVD!” he shrieks.
That makes Dean pull up short. Cass is the picture of calm. He doesn’t scream or show emotions in general. “What’re you talking about man?” he asks, forcing his voice not to sound as gruff. He pats the edge of the bed and smiles as the bed dips with Cass’ weight. “Talk to me.”
Hands gripping the edge of the bed, Cass gulps, turning his head to Dean. He sees the panic in his friend’s eyes. “I just – I don’t understand things. And what I’m feeling right now… it’s just too much. It feels too intense. And I just can’t breathe. It’s wrong. I know it’s wrong to feel like this but I just – I can’t stop it Dean.”
“What can’t you stop?”
Eyes, raw and brimming with emotion, Cass stares at him. “Why was my name on that DVD?”
“I don’t know.” Dean tries to convey his sincerity. “I really don’t know Cass.”
“But it said Cass.” His voice is small. “When I saw it on your bed, I thought it was mine.”
A chill goes through him. Cass … he couldn’t mean that DVD… could he?
“What DVD?” his voice is almost shrill. It’s like the babysitter and the pizza man all over again.
“Cas-a Erotica.” Says Cass.

Castiel’s breath trembles as he marches away from Mary Winchester. He’s managed to go years without drawing attention from Sam and Dean. Every being they’d ever met - friend or enemy – had poked fun at Castiel’s affections. But the Winchesters, they were too adverse to the idea of being loved by someone so new in their lives… they’d never believed a word. And he was thankful for their oversight.
Castiel won’t survive being told to leave again. Things had just began to feel normal. Dean had given him a room. Carved a place out for him inside the bunker, Dean’s home. Dean would be betrayed to know about his feelings… disgusted even.
Castiel sits at the table, eyeing Mary, the ticking time bomb. She looks back.
Will she tell him? He doesn't know.
So he prays. Prays to to Chuck: please don’t let them know.
Dean has an obsession. It’s borderline crazy sometimes, as obsessions tend to get. Sometimes he spends hours behind it, frantically investigating.
Dean stalks Chuck Shurley.
So it’s shocking when he sees a new book appear. Because he’d signed up for all the alerts and pre-alerts.
‘How To Take Care Of Your Guardian Angel’
He shouldn’t… Dean clicks purchase.
“You told me in tongues.” Dean snaps “Can you try it again in English?”
At his side, Cass bristles. “My deal is when I’m happy he will take me.”
“Dean.” He begins. “The things that can make me happy are numbered. When the Shadow peered inside my mind, it saw everything. My feelings of inadequacy and uselessness, my greatest fears, my enemies… the people I love.”
“I’m not saying you made the wrong call Cass.” He says gently. “Just - why didn’t you tell us?”
“What would that have done?”
“Something.” Dean insists. “We'd have gone face to face with that monster!”
“There it is.” Cass says softly. “What good would that have done? The thing that could make me happy… facing off against the being who wishes to take it all away?”
That gives Dean pause. “Me and Sam… we make you happy?”
“Yes.” Cass says carefully. “Being with you and Sam brings me great joy.”
“Dean.” Cass says sternly, catching his attention. “Once I thought that you knew. You are a connoisseur in matters such as this. Now, that we're in a place that is all our own, I think you’re ready to hear this.”
Dean’s been ready for the past hour, but okay.
“You make me unbelievably happy Dean.”

Making the gauntlet and his suit with the same nanotech meant that all of his Iron Man suits can sync with the gauntlet and transfer the stones across seamlessly. For a harrowing moment, he can feel the power of the infinity stones coursing through every atom of his being. Slowly the stones are overwhelming his atoms, one by one, forcing them into an eventual catastrophic failure.
Strange had it all planned out. From the start. This is how it was supposed to be. He lived so that he could die – save them all.
He did it, he reminds himself.
He saved the kid.
Overwhelming sensations fire across his neurons then as he raises his hand, outfitted with the stones.
There’s no way for him to do this and not die.
Suddenly, the energy beings drawing away from him… siphoning away into something… a new vessel. And for a moment he experiences true terror.
No one else on the field has a version of the nanites that are in his suit. No one else should have access.
But surely, she wouldn’t…
As the strain of holding the stones lessens, Tony finally turns his head ever so slightly. To his left, wearing his Stark tech proudly is Peter Parker.
He watches from behind the wall as Dean creeps slowly down the stairs, ensuring that his footfalls are almost silent. Stranger still is huge bag strapped to his back… if Sam didn’t know better he’s say its… moving?
“Dean!” he snaps, letting his worry show, “Cass just… vanished in a plume of … trench-coat and before that… I saw something… I don’t even understand this.” He sputters.
Impassive, Dean just glances towards the exit.
“Did you hear me?” he tries again.
“Yup.” Dean assures, still glancing at the door, “Heard you like a bell. We’ll talk in the morning Sammy. Night.”
“Night?” he parrots. “Cass is in trouble.”
“Cass is a um, heh.” He laughs, “Big boy.”
Why isn’t he doing anything? And what’s in that damn bag?
Sam wrenches it open.
Sam takes a good long look at the child who now sits happily at their table. Glow-y blue eyes, hair dark as night, an unflinching stare that seems to be directed only at Dean, chewing on Dean’s index finger like it’s candy. With jerky motions he wraps the trench-coat around the child, still unable to reconcile what he knows with what he sees.
Dean laughs, “Now you really are a baby in a trench-coat.” Cass bites down.

Keeping Michael locked inside his head gives Dean a little taste of what it's like to be an angel.
Wings. Dean has wings. Oh, yeah, and he can see Castiel's face, too. This was definitely not a regular Tuesday afternoon.
