Every year a mysterious figure snatches two teenagers from beyond the woods, taking them into the forest and leaving with them, those two kids never being seen again unless within the pages of fairy tales. The town’s people resort into believing each child is put into either a school for good or evil and is given their own fairy tale when they’re each taken from their beds, one child being taught and shaped good like a princess or knight whilst the other gets shaped into something so malicious it has the near ability to kill good … evil.
Kaeya is the mage to Childe’s knight. Kaeya is a brilliant strategist. Kaeya is a liar. Kaeya is his best friend. He is his partner. He is the Twelfth Harbinger and the Prince of Khaenri’ah. Kaeya is Arlecchino. Together, they are the Innamorati. They are not lovers.
Childe wants everything to stay the same. Childe wants things to change.
In another mission with Kaeya, he isn’t given much choice between the two.
Or the story of how the Innamorati finally got together and fulfilled the true meaning of their name.
