i'm miffed that we never actually got to see much of maggie being traumatized in canon, and we really only got like 1.5 scenes of alex helping her deal with that trauma. most of what we saw of their relationship was Maggie Sawyer, The Most Supportive Gf In The Entire World,, with a tiny dash of Oh Yeah Alex Is Here For Her Too! so, here's a look at how good alex really was (is) to and for her.

Summary
Shaw and Root after Samaritan goes down and Shaw comes back. Root can't stop finding new ways to remind everyone that Shaw kissed her. Plus, code names, John-baiting, and surprise kissing. This is a continuous story, but I'm calling it a series of drabbles because (a) they're all short and (b) the tone varies more than I like in a single work.
