A retelling of Vergil's Aeneid
Geralt washes up on the shore of Jaskier's city, Jaskier is not sure what to make of this but ends up falling desperately in love anyway.
“I love the way you just sit in the corner and brood,” Jaskier said, attempting to lift the scowl off his guest’s face. His remark was unfortunately not met with the desired reaction, as Geralt only tilted his face away from Jaskier and grunted.
“You know, stranger, I thought sitting next to you would be more exciting and filled with adventurous stories.” Geralt grunted dismissively again, and Jaskier was already preparing himself to talk the entirety of the remaining dinner.

Kirishima groaned, rolling his head back onto his shoulders. “All I’m saying,” he emphasized, pretending neither of them had interrupted him, “Is that best friends is a great foundation for a relationship. You already know each other, you’re comfortable together, you trust and accept each other. All the things that are important in a relationship are also present with your best friend.”
“By that logic, everyone should be in love with their best friend.” Todoroki pointed out.
“Maybe not everyone,” Kirishima conceded, “But a lot of people fall in love with their best friends. It’s normal!”

He spends the entire week that they have to prepare the assignment watching Todoroki. Between Todoroki and his friends from kickboxing club the entire week flies by in positive interpersonal interactions. It’s like a dream. The only bad things are Katsuki, who’s still Izuku’s neighbor and still takes time out of his day to flip Izuku off when Izuku enters the common areas, and Izuku’s roommate, who is still absent.
They still leave notes for each other; please don’t leave your things on my desk, please pick up your laundry, you left your radio on again. None of the notes are personal. Izuku thought that last weekend was just a fluke, that he’d run into his roommate this weekend, but the whole weekend passes and Izuku is forced to leave a note apologizing that he had to borrow a pen from the cup on his roommate’s desk.
