    Summary

"He sighs, turning back around, freezing in his spot as he hears a distant… well, something. He’s not sure what it is, yet, but he keeps quiet, listening for any other sound. There it is, again, and this time he recognizes it as a piano, in the distance, somewhere in this abandoned old building – the sound of the single note echoing through the large halls and many rooms. Again, a note, then a chord, and he cocks his head as whoever is playing starts the song in earnest."

Ghosts aren't real. That much Geralt knows. That's why, when he explores the halls of the abandoned Woodward Sanatorium in the hopes of renovating the building, he knows it's not haunted. The toy car in one of the rooms only moves on its own because of the uneven floor. The wheelchair in another room doesn't change positions, he's just remembering things wrong. The shadows he sees out of the corner of his eye are just that- shadows, tricks of the light, his imagination.

Yet, even he can't explain the piano music that drifts through the halls of the abandoned building.

    Summary

It occurred to Jaskier, as he forced his own feet to move, one ahead of the other, that Geralt hadn’t once shifted from where he stood on the mountain, arms ridged by his side, staring out into the valley, ass clenched like there was no tomorrow.
He really had just let Jaskier leave.
Jaskier clenched his jaw. Guess this one is for real then.
When he arrived back at camp he gathered his things and gave Roach a gentle pat.
He’d told Geralt “see you around,” but he didn’t think it would happen.
No, actually, he decided. He was planning on it.

jaskier and geralt lose each other. it takes a long time to be found again.

    Summary

“Why is it forked?” ten-year-old Geralt asks Jaskier with a curious tilt of his head.

Jaskier shrugs. “I thought it looked nice. Why draw one road when you can draw two, right? And besides, that way you can choose which path to take!”

Geralt frowns. “But what if you don’t want to go in the same direction as me?”

“Don’t be silly, I’d follow you anywhere! You’re my best friend!”

    “Well, I’d follow you, too.”

    ~

Jaskier has a secret. Well, he has two.

The first is that he's in love with Geralt Rivia, captain of the rugby team and his childhood best friend. Only, they're no longer best friends. His second secret is that he writes poems dedicated to Geralt and anonymously posts it at the school's Freedom Wall under the pseudonym of Dandelion. And the thing is, Dandelion has become so popular - more popular than Jaskier - that it's getting more difficult to keep his silence when it's clear that Geralt is starting to develop feelings for the mysterious lovesick poet.

How naïve was Jaskier to think that it would be so easy.

    Summary

“Oh,” Jaskier said, voice a little flat, “You - you gave her your jacket?”

“It’s just a leather jacket,” Geralt responded, Yennefer’s words echoing in his head. He tucked his books under his arm, turning back to Jaskier.

The brunette laughed, but it didn’t sound right, “Yeah, just a stupid jacket.”

Well, it was. It was a jacket he’d gotten for Christmas. It was the jacket he’d given to a stranger on December 3 three years ago, it was a jacket that he wanted Jaskier to love.

But it is just a stupid jacket.

    ________

Or “I am? (you are.) I am. In Geralt’s POV, so, y’all can stop attacking my boy.
