    Summary

After a long spell apart, Han and Leia reunite for a spot of... stargazing.

‘Sure,’ he said, shifting, leaning across her to pull the other strap down, not quite baring her chest. ‘Constellations; I know ’em.’

She shot him an amused look. ‘Name me one constellation in the sky above us right now.’

‘Big Triangle,’ Han answered promptly. He wasn’t putting any of his weight on her, bracing himself so that he was hardly touching her other than where his nose nuzzled her neck, but still the proximity of him made her chest tighten, her hand coming up to stroke the plane of his back. ‘Small Square. Great Northern Somethin’.’

‘We’re not even in the northern hemisphere,’ she reminded him.

    Summary

Leia's attempt to put some distance between herself and Han falls apart. Which might be just fine.

Leia was no stranger to doing audacious things in plain sight—it was a natural part of spying for the Alliance in the Imperial Senate—but they were usually things that could make or break a years-long effort to save the galaxy from tyranny, and not about trying to avoid an awkward situation entirely of her own making.

Perhaps it wasn’t such a problem. Han, after all, was oblivious to the awkwardness, reading with enthusiasm from a holonet page about the eighty different kinds of spiced cider one could procure from a stall at the winter market they’d be visiting tomorrow, just the two of them, alone.

    Summary

On a five-day mission, Han and Leia seek alone time. Pretty clear what's going on, right?

Leia eyed him over the rim of her mug. Over his shoulder, the very last of the sun was slipping down behind a dune, the light changing from orange to a gloomy indigo. ‘I think,’ she said, very casually, ‘that we ought to go and debrief, Han. While today’s still fresh in our minds.’

He blinked a couple of times before his eyes widened in recognition. ‘Right. Debrief. Yes. Seems important,’ he said quickly. ‘Let’s go…’ He gestured in the general direction of his ship. ‘…Do that.’

‘Good idea!’ Leia shot to her feet. ‘Night, everyone.’

    Summary

After the war, Han and Leia find it's easier to feel at home in some places than others.

But it was a blip, Leia had insisted, fastening her braids, pulling on her jacket like armor as she prepared to head back to the capital not two days later. She’d know what she was in for next time. She’d talk to Luke about shielding.

‘Yeah,’ Han had replied, ‘or you could talk to Mon Mothma about holocommuting.’

‘She already lets me do that most of the time,’ Leia had pointed out. ‘Come on, Han; you know some things are too important or too sensitive to talk about them over a damn hololink.’

‘Fine,’ he’d conceded. ‘Then how about this: they could run the government outta some other planet not haunted by Darth Heeby-Jeeby the Terrifying?’

‘We can’t just give up on Coruscant,’ she’d said, zipping her overnight bag. ‘From a strategic standpoint as well as a symbolic one.’

    Summary

Morning intimacy and unequal bed cover distribution in the Organa-Solo residence.

Leia leaned down to press her mouth to his again, devoting her time and attention to kissing him until his lips were pink and swollen, to carding her fingers through his hair until it was in total disarray. Only then did she draw back to pull at the t-shirt bunched in one fist.

‘Mind if I take this off you?’ she asked breathlessly.

He nodded, lifting his arms and sitting up a little. ‘This you plotting revenge, sweetheart?’ he asked her, as she lifted the shirt up over his head and cast it aside. ‘Get me naked so I’m cold too?’

    Summary

Two months after the first Death Star, the Alliance has a party.

    Or: Leia gets Han drunk.

‘What’s in it?’ he asked her, swirling it around the mug with interest.

What was in it, it turned out, was an absurd amount of alcohol for something that most closely resembled good cake frosting. (Not that Han had ever had good cake frosting, or much in the way of cake frosting at all, but he’d caught enough episodes of The Great Galactic Baking Show to be able to guess what it might taste like.) And it also turned out that in the right company Han could be rather prone to happy sentiment while drunk, too.

He was better than Luke at the not-saying-it-out-loud part, which was good, because about twenty minutes after his first taste of a Triplehorn Snowstorm he was sitting with his chin propped in his hand and thinking dopily about how lovely Leia Organa’s smile was.

    Summary

Han and Leia share some time together.

They’d showered together in the past, but all the other times really had been mostly about saving water or power, no matter how much either of them tried to make that reasoning sound like a flirty joke.

    Summary

Sometimes getting away from it all requires a nudge from someone else.

There was just enough cloud cover to make the heat of the sun pleasant rather than uncomfortable. Some native tree was in full bloom this time of year, deep purple flowers heavy on the branches as far as the eye could see, the air heavy with their sweet, delicate scent. Birds chirped, bees hummed, and Leia sat among it all, perched on a sun lounger next to an invitingly cool swimming pool.

‘Do you realize,’ she said, taking a lick of her ice cream cone, ‘that this is technically a kidnapping?’

    Summary

Han falls in love, and keeps falling.

It starts like this: they’re arguing about something, as they’re prone to doing. This particular argument isn’t even just between him and Leia, at first; it began elsewhere and became a sort of base-wide free-for-all, only Han has lost track of what it’s about, and everyone else has lost interest in participating.

So there’s really only Leia telling him off about something, and it sounds like she might have a valid point, but also, her chin is jutting up toward him and her hair is working loose from its braid, and the fact that she’s beautiful has just hit Han like a hovertrain.

All traditions start somewhere. Han and Leia build a holiday.

    ‘It sounds—’

    ‘Laughably Alderaanian?’ she suggested drily.

Nice, is what I was gonna say.’
