  1. Summary

Plant a Dragon's teeth and you can have an army of grown warriors, or so the legend said.

(Or: how the Hatake can either be born naturally or planted from a Hatake tooth, an offering of the flesh and the clan's White chakra.)

Alternatively known as that AU where the Hatake are actually Agricultural Experts and the Mokuton is an actual bloodline limit.

Will oscillate between humor and tragedy. Also full of (mostly Hatake) OCs alongside canon characters.

    Read at your own risk.

So...Lilili_cat's "Hidden in Stagnant Pools" was so sad and depressing one of my OCs decided to commit cross-fandom character theft and this was born.

They were quiet a moment before Abe spoke again, “Even on your deathbed, you’re the harbinger of painful, but necessary change. People really hate thinking they had a hand in All Might’s retirement, let alone that it was medical negligence that nearly killed you.”

Toshinori took a deep breath, his lips twitching weakly in a pained smile.

Abe studied him a moment. “You are still the Pillar of Peace,” he said quietly. Toshinori’s eyes shot to Abe’s face. “You know that, right?” He asked.

“Eh?” Toshinori stammered, “I-I’m Quir—er, I no longer have... I’m not All Might.” He stared at his foreign hands. “Not anymore.”

“Where’s Kozmotis?” Voice, tense and steely, so familiar he could cry. “We know he’s here. You have to be the biggest idiots in the galaxies to think you could get away with kidnapping the Golden General.”

“Kidnapping?” Not-a-soldier, voice shaking. Afraid for his life. “But – she said he’d volunteered -”

    “Volunteered for what?”

Silence, the hum of mounting terror –

“Oh,” Dabi finally mumbled, still a bit surprised at Eri’s revelation. He considered his next words carefully as the bitter voice in the depths of his heart taunted him, reminded him that he could relate to the young girl. “My… my father’s not a great person, either.”

Eri’s face morphs into a sad expression as she puts two and two together, and she gives him a look of understanding. “... Your dad hurt you, too.” It was a statement, not a question.

“Yeah,” Dabi confirms, taking a shuddering breath before he says, “But listen, what Eraser- Shouta ,” he corrects himself, “said about how parents shouldn’t hurt, he’s right. Just because Overhaul raised you doesn’t make him a father.”

Eri looks down at that, thinking Dabi’s words over in her head. When she meets his gaze once more, she looks and sounds nothing but sincere when she says, “Touya’s father isn’t a father, either.”

    Summary

“Could you move aside for a moment?”

Toshinori startles and almost jumps out of his skin as he whips around to look at the person addressing him.

The man standing behind him is not exactly the type of person Toshinori had expected to find working in a flower shop. His hair falls down to his shoulders in dark, unruly tangles and his chin is speckled with scruffy stubble of the same color. He’s wearing a dark green apron and is carrying a small, potted Japanese maple, though, so he’s probably a shop employee.

    “You’re back soon.”

Toshinori chokes on his own tongue, but manages to avoid coughing up any more blood.

“Aizawa-san,” Toshinori says with a strained laugh as he turns to address Aizawa. “I didn’t see you there.”

Aizawa makes a noncommittal sound, and briefly Toshinori wonders if he’s really that out of it, or if Aizawa just moves that silently. Maybe he has a quirk that silences his footsteps? Toshinori’s heard of stranger quirks.

“So, did you forget something or have you already killed all your plants?” Aizawa asks, and Toshinori stiffens slightly.

“Ah. Well,” Toshinori answers, running a hand awkwardly through his messy hair. “I’m afraid I need more Angelonia.”

Aizawa blinks at him, looking caught off guard.

“You know, I was joking when I asked if you’d killed your plants already,” Aizawa snorts. “It shouldn’t be physically possible to kill them so quickly. What did you do?”
