Bender and Fry go on a delivery together, but they didn't expect they would end up kidnapped, much less fused together into one being.
They gravitated towards Zuko whenever the temperature dipped even slightly. At night, he often woke to someone pulling their bedroll towards him, or slipping under his arm, or turning over in their sleep and colliding with his shoulder.
It alarmed him, at first. It had never been a good thing when someone woke him in the dead of the night.
It was strange, then, that he was on the run without Uncle, officially a traitor to his homeland, and for the first time since his mother left, he woke in the night sandwiched between bodies, feeling safe.
(Zuko becomes the group's heat-pack.)

Upon the death of his Grandfather, Severus was surprised to be the only recipient of the will, considering he didn't know the man even knew he existed.
What is even more surprising is the stipulation that he must be married, with an Heir, within the next few years in order to inherit everything.
Thankfully there is an unusual young woman living on the street nearby who could also benefit from the arrangement.
A chance meeting in Diagon Alley with a certain green-eyed first year also starts a cascade of events that will change the wizarding world forever.
AKA: Snape is a total Dad and adopts abused children. Aurora is a badass who won't let anyone hurt her new family. Harry is told everything from the start and is encouraged to do well in school with a loving supportive family.
Result: Dumbledore is in trouble!
When Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, he is kicked out of Gryffindor Tower by those he thought of as friends. It isn't until Snape finds him that the truth comes out about The Boy Who Lived
"‘freaks sleep on the floor, freaks stay in cupboard, freaks don’t get to have friends.’ His Aunt and Uncle's words filled his head as sobs finally overtook his small frame. This is where he belonged, on the dusty floor all alone. He shouldn't be near other people; nobody wants to be near a freak.
That night Harry cried himself to sleep as panic and sobs wreaked havoc on his too-small body. He paid no mind to the cold or the aches in bones. When he woke up the next morning he refused to move. This was his place now, and this is where he would stay."
Harry thinks he has a way out of the tournament
Four years after the Potter's death, Snape finds out that Petunia is the one who has custody of Harry. He finds this unacceptable and deigns to look into it himself. Upon finding the condition the five year old was in, Snape took him from the home to raise the boy who lived himself. Life Debt repaid, James.
