Summary

Lan Wangji also happens to be able to talk to ghosts, and gets pulled into Wei Wuxian's orbit once again. Things happen, crimes get solved, and feelings are had.

Summary
The first time Lan Wangji sees Wei Wuxian, it’s the evening before their first day of classes, and Wei Wuxian is sneaking into one of the academy’s shuttles.
The boy turns a wide-eyed gaze onto Lan Wangji. “Could you—do you mind letting go of my wrist?” His wrist flexes in Lan Wangji’s tight grasp. “I bruise like a peach, it’s really embarrassing."
Lan Wangji releases the other boy’s wrist like he’s been burned.
That’s the first mistake he makes.

The first time Lan Wangji meets Wei Wuxian, they're 14, and Wei Wuxian is in the midst of stealing a Cloud Recesses shuttle. Years later, Wei Wuxian disappears in the middle of the Sunguard Campaign, taking the Wen refugees with him.
Lan Wangji, seeking answers, follows Wei Wuxian's trail of one-way transmissions across the Middle Kingdom System, and finds both the answers he seeks, and answers to questions he'd never thought to ask before.
