    Summary

He’d thought that his feelings for Quentin would diminish. A longer half life than normal, but fading nonetheless. But he’d had to actively push Quentin from his mind, working at losing him piece by piece (—two rivers, a continent— he thinks), but it was work, an active extrication, dulled by alcohol and drugs and sun-soaked, over-waxed men. It had taken time and the death of brain cells, his sobriety and losing the life he’d tried to build—

—but Eliot is sure, as soon as Quentin walks into his patisserie, that all of that resistance, the repeated acts of forgetting, was for nothing. Eliot thinks, gripping the edge of the counter as he stares— God, he’s staring— that Quentin in his twenties was surely beautiful, but the man in front of him is something else entirely. Softer, somehow, deep laugh lines at the corners of his eyes, his hair short now— and somehow, that’s worse than the loose bun he used to wear because it’s wholly different, betraying all the time lost between them. His dimples crease as he catches Eliot’s gaze, and he pushes his glasses up the slope of his nose. He’s—God, it’s so corny, and Eliot is so fucked—Q is artistry, perfect form, Eliot’s long-buried wanting made manifest.

    Summary

“Okay, someone tell me right the fuck now what is going on.” He whirls on Margo and Julia, nearly stumbling again over unfamiliar feet in converse sneakers. “Why am I passed out on the couch? Wearing a reject from Hot Topic’s t-shirt wall, with hair that clearly hasn’t seen conditioner—or even a fucking shower—in far too long? And if I’m in Quentin’s body, then—where the fuck is he?”

Margo sighs, taking his arm and leading him back to the couch. Julia sits in a yellow chair next to him, across from the couch where he—his body—is laying.

“It’s a body swap spell,” Margo says bluntly. “Quinn brought us this book, and Q found the spell in it, Julia figured out how to modify it, and now you’re here, in Q’s body, and he’s—” She cuts off, glancing over at Eliot’s body.

Eliot follows her gaze, and his entire body tensing. “He’s where, Margo?”

“We’re pretty sure he’s wherever you were,” Julia says, glancing down at the-Eliot-that-isn’t.

What if, while Eliot was possessed by the monster, the gang found a body swap spell? And then used it?

    Summary

"Listen here you big slut," Margo had told him as she handed him his green juice. "I have a new assistant and he came at Josh's rec, of all fucking people, so I did not want to hire him, and more than that he could not be your type than if I made a blood sacrifice to conjure that up myself, but unfortunately he is super fucking competent, and kind of a bitch in the way I covet, so I had no choice. As a result, not under any circumstances do I permit you to fuck him."

Unable to resist, Eliot had said, "Well, can he fuck me?"

"I feel pretty confident in saying I don't think that would be as much of his thing, but no, you asshole."

When Eliot first met Quentin, the second he had walked out of the room, Eliot had leaned over to Margo's ear and said, "I'm—not gonna fuck him but, uh wow, you weren't kidding."

    Summary

When El had asked him, Quentin had hesitated, because even at the tender age of fourteen, he’d been well aware of the way his heart and body reacted to Eliot’s very presence. He’d wondered, painfully often, what it would be like to place his hands along the expanse of Eliot’s ribs, how it would feel to press their lips together. And doing what they had done, binding themselves together forever more… it meant he’d never get to find out.

(First, Eliot and Quentin end up together for the rest of their lives. Then, those lives get a lot more complicated.)
