Summary
On a cool spring day, as the cherry trees shed their blossoms around them, Katsuki takes a giant leap off his starting line, and tells Deku he wants their relationship to change. It does! They become best friends as well as rivals, but along the way, Katuski falls embarrasingly in love.
To everyone else, Deku included, they've been dating for months.

In January of 2020, Jaeger "Twin Star", piloted by Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugou is destroyed by a Kaiju. Izuku washes up on Hong Kong's shore, half-dead and inside a destroyed Jaeger. Katsuki is rescued by the Japanese Jaeger program and then disappears a few days later, dropping all contact with former friends, family, and employers.

Katsuki crouches down on his heels, and leans forward to stare intently at the sweaty nerd panting under him like a grovelling fish. Deku is relatively fit; that’s no secret. He’s got to have something to back up his punches after all. But his body mass is nothing to write home about. Right.
“Nice move, Kacchan,” Deku heaves, sweat dripping down the curve of his neck, soaking his white shirt and exposing the expanse of skin under. At the endless ripples of muscles beneath the wet fabric, Katsuki swallows—

In a nutshell, Izuku is a late bloomer, and Katsuki's not prepared for the nerd to start galloping that growth spurt like a carnivorous plant.
On growing up together then apart, falling in love over telephone lines and being home for the holidays. The new year comes, Izuku leaves, and Katsuki stays behind.
