Who was he without a flask?
Qrow Branwen carried a guise of carefree freedom; a man who had no worries and travel the globe as he pleased but could whip out one of the deadliest blades. He was supposed to be unhurried, unbothered by anything that didn't correlate directly to him.
He juggled the grim, the demands of Ozpin, the threat of Salem, and the secrets he's carried for so many years. But the dangers are growing, the challenges kept coming faster and stronger. And his fears were almost realized, what he had left in the world was almost lost, and what would happen then?
So he threw away the flask and has tried not to look back, but his resolve is weakening. Without the haze and guise of alcohol all the secrets and lies he kept hidden are forcing their way to the surface. One secret is bubbling at the surface, it's voice growing louder and people are taking notice. He's been standing in one place long enough for people to start asking questions.He can't disappear this time or grab a bottle of amber.

Summary
Red Hood, with his mask off, turned out to be in his early twenties, dark-haired and good-looking in a way that fell just short of 'striking,' except when his eyes sharpened with emotion. He had given his name as 'Jason,' no surname, and she was sure he was carrying at least one concealed weapon.
Jokester, in contrast, was boisterous, gregarious, warm, and after about twenty minutes in his company it was surprisingly easy to forget that he had a face like some burgeoning special effects technician had gone to town with the sculpting putty, then coated the result liberally in white latex paint.
In all likelihood, everything they could possibly say would be off the record, but Lois couldn't help but think of this as an interview.

Summary
When Ruby runs into Ozpin just days before the holiday, she's shocked by how low he seems. He insists that the kindness he sees in her is present enough, but the idea of anyone going without a holiday gift rankles Ruby like little else.
With some multi-team plotting, help from the faculty, and a bit of seasonal spirit, Ozpin might just have a happy holiday after all.
