Summary
Adora was crowned Empress of Eternia only two months ago and isn’t used to this drastic change in her life and just wants everything to be back to normal again, sadly reality doesn’t work that way. Etheria is healing from a harsh three long years of war with a kingdom who called themselves the Horde, who Adora despises. After a meeting with the Princess Alliance, the rulers of the main kingdoms of Etheria, Adora wanders around in the royal garden and finds a mysterious note, written by a certain someone who will be attending the annual royal banquet hosted by Adora’s kingdom. Adora politely writes back and maybe this will become a normal thing for her and her mysterious penpal? A Catradora medieval au story.

Summary
She was still trapped halfway between sheer amazement at their model’s obliques and debating the merit of donating all of her art supplies to charity when the model (and Catra could’ve killed herself for not remembering her name) turned to face her direction, actually flexed her muscles, and made direct eye contact.
What the hell? Was she not a good person? Who did not deserve to die of being too gay in a public space? Sure she’d been super creepy up to this point, but honestly wasn’t everyone a little creepy? It was like she could see inside Catra’s soul and the spark of playfulness in the mystery goddess’s steel blue eyes was both distressing and fantastic.
Yikes dude.

“Oh? What were you thinking about, exactly?”
“About the day we met,” Adora answered easily.
Catra hummed at the memory. “You mean the best day of my life? I remember it well.”
She snorted. “Please. It was not. You almost drowned!” Her denial was met with an arched eyebrow.
“You doubt my word?”
“I doubt your ability to be serious.”
With a shrug of acquiescence. “I suppose that’s fair,” she mused quietly, slowly walking towards her. “But I assure you…” Catra came close, dangerously close. “I’m quite serious,” she crooned.
Adora smiled. “Why was it the best day of your life?” She only closed her eyes when the other woman traced fingers down her cheek, enjoying the volts of electricity that seemed to pulse along her skin where Catra touched her.
“The day I met you?” She could feel her pulse in her ears as they twitched, her throat running dry. She gripped what remained of her courage and continued. “The day I met the love of my life? How could it not be the best day?” Catra held her breath for just a moment before continuing on. “Adora… you do know that I love you… right?”
