Summary
Opening the bathroom door again, he stops, freezing like a deer caught in the headlights when he finds his boyfriend’s father standing just outside the bathroom. From the way he’s dressed, it’s obvious he’s just come home from the overnight TK told him he was on.
“Good morning, Carlos,” he greets him calmly. Like this is a regular occurrence for them to run into each other outside his bathroom, and instead, not the first time ever that Carlos has spent the night in his house.

Summary
TK was fine with being the friend. Even if it meant not seeing Carlos on their one day off...it would be fine. He could deal with that. Sure. He kept telling himself that. But...when they are both called to a bar fight gone wrong...TK isn't so sure he can be "just the friend" when the love of his life is bleeding out somewhere in the hospital. Oh and he's bleeding too...

“Woah man, you’re bleeding!” Paul exclaimed, hand jutting out to grab TK’s shoulder, turning him to face him so he could see the growing dark stain better. TK pulled away from him, avoiding his eyes, “don’t worry about it, it’s nothing.”
Paul raised a skeptical eyebrow, “It doesn’t look like nothing.”
“Yeah well, there are too many people hurt worse who need our help. I’ll be fine until they’re taken care of.” And then he was gone, hurrying across the wreckage towards triage before Paul could even respond.
