“So, you want me to... tie you up?” asks Teh, rope in hand, and Oh-Aew nods at his words.
“Yes.” affirms his boyfriend, soft smile on his face and eyes full of delight.
“Ok.” replies Teh, nodding as well, and then pausing to think for a second. “But… What if you can't get free?” he wonders, with more than just a bit of panic.
“Teh.” calls out Oh-Aew, exasperated and tender at the same time. "That's kinda the whole point of it."
(Oh-Aew gets even more kinky, and Teh has a small revelation.)
- Part 2 of the extra mile
Three hours before the private jet lands in Hawaii, Teh slowly comes back awake.
The first thing that hits him is the smell of cold filtered air, and then the rumble of the engines starts to rattle in his ears. He feels groggy, like he’s been drinking nothing but champagne for an entire day, and it takes him a while to properly feel the sensation of the mattress behind his naked back and the drag of the satin pants over his legs. His eyelids are heavy, so he makes no attempt to open them, comfortable in his own private darkness for the moment.
Then, a gush of hot breath kisses him somewhere around his stomach, and Teh’s mouth curves up in a smile.
(Oh-Aew and Teh start their vacation in the right way.)
“Mister Saetun.” suddenly speaks up Teh’s home AI, its electronic voice reverberating from the PA system, and Teh’s hand freezes before he can bring the glass back to his lips.
“Yes, Zhong?” he calls out, ignoring the spike of anticipation that has come alight in his body.
“You have a visitor at the front entrance.” continues the AI, before elapsing in a brief pause. “The biometric data confirms that he’s mister Panwa Suramontha, which you have been expecting for tonight. How shall I proceed?”
Fighting back against the shivers on his skin, Teh takes another quick sip of his whiskey; it burns his lips and mouth, but it also makes him feel more centered at the same time, which is exactly what he desperately needs before he gives his reply.
“Let him in.”
Fifteen minutes into his thirty-minute drive to the Suvarnabhumi Airport, Oh-Aew already starts to regret his decision.
The sound of the slamming door that he has left behind is still ringing in his ears, and the bitter taste of anger is still stuck between his teeth, but there’s already no more fight in him. Instead, a small ache has wormed inside his heart, the one who misses the arms of his husband and the annoying sound of his laughter.
He ponders if he should turn back, crawl back into their house and apologize, and yet the wounded part of him bristles up at the suggestion; why does it feel like he’s always the one caving in, the only person who’s admitting to his faults?
He wants to be selfish for once, and so he stomps down on his longing and tells his brain to shut up.
(After a fight with Teh, Oh-Aew goes to Phuket for a vacation and tries not to miss him too much.)
11 Mar 2021
In the soft morning light of a Sunday morning, Teh makes his final decision.
(Teh doesn't know how to propose, and it shows.)
