Avengers React To Spiderman Far From Home Trailer and Clips

Chapter Text

Now when the Avengers were dropped into a random theatre it was certainly a surprise. Now most of these people had not seen each other since the “civil war,” as it had been dubbed by the media. Tony, Steve, Natasha, Thor, Clint, Bruce, Bucky, Wanda, Sam, Rhodey, and Peter were all there. They all kind of migrated towards the seats and there was a clear separation between “Team Cap” and “Team Iron Man.” Bruce and Thor were kind of making a barrier between the two.

“So... does anyone know what we’re doing here?” Clint asked.

“Good question Mr. Barton,” a voice came over the speakers. “I’ve brought you all here today to watch a trailer of a movie about Mr. Parker, or Spiderman.”

Everyone looked to Peter and suddenly fights were breaking out.

“You brought a kid into this?” Steve yelled at Tony.

“You brought Wanda into this, so you have no room to talk. Besides I regret doing it, I shouldn’t have!”

“Mr. Stark didn’t do anything! I wanted to go!” Peter defended.

The voice cleared their throat. “You can call me The Author or just Author is fine. Basically, I’m going to show you a trailer and a few short clips. This is to show you the issue with you all being apart. And to warn you. A titan called Thanos is coming. And none of you are prepared or even aware that this is happening. He wants to destroy half the universe and he will succeed if you don’t work together. These clips are of the aftermath.”

Everyone was visibly tense after that and Tony threw an arm around Peter’s shoulder, pulling him close.

“Great, now let's get started.”

The screen showed an older looking Peter crouching on a roof top, his mask off.

“Everywhere I go, I see his face,” Peter voiced over.

The screen showed a short shot of a mural of Iron Man.

“I just really miss him.”

“Wait, hold up did he just imply that Tony was dead?” Sam asked.

Peter whimpered and looked at his totally not father figure and Tony instantly let him curl into his side.

“I don’t-I don’t know,” stuttered Tony.

The screen faded to black and Happy showed up.

“Yeah, I miss him too.”

The screen showed a heart broken looking Peter.

“I don’t think Tony would have done what he did if he didn’t know you were going to be here after he was gone,” Happy told him.

“So, Tony’s really dead?” Rhodey said uncertainly.

Tony shook his head. “We’ll fix it.”

The screen showed Peter in his Iron Spider suit flying around inside a building, webbing up shooters.

“You going to be the next Iron Man now?” a police officer asked.

“Well no I don’t have time, I’m too busy doing your jobs,”

They all laughed at Peter’s snarky comment but there was still an air of sadness in the room.

The officers made sounds of protest.

“I’m kidding I’m kidding; look keep up the good work because I am going on vacation.”

The screen faded once more, and the music swelled.

“Whoa!” a web slinging Peter yelled.

“Heads up Nick Fury’s calling you.”

The screen cut to Happy. As if on cue Peter’s phone started to buzz.

“I don’t really want to talk to Nick Fury.”

“Answer the phone.”

“Why?”

“Because if you don’t talk to him then I have to talk to him, I don’t want to talk to him.”

Then Peter hung up the phone.

Happy looked appalled. “You sent Nick Fury to voicemail?”

“I got to go!” Peter started to leave.

“You do not ghost Nick Fury!”

“Got to admit kids got guts,” Natasha said seriously.

“He’s doing what I told him to do, making sure that Fury stays far away from him,” Tony said a bit proudly.

“What up dorks,” MJ came on the screen.

“What’s up? We're just talking about the trip,” Peter told her.

The real Peter had a small blush on his face.

“I'm here in Saint Marco Pollos-ugh!” Flash yelled as he lived streamed.

“I think MJ really likes me,” Peter voiced over as MJ sat by the water with a camera.

“Ooo Petey has a crush,” Rhodey teased and Tony just smirked as he ruffled his hair.

“Reminds me when I first fell in love,” Ned said. Then suddenly a dart flew into his neck.

Peter looked a little worried for a second, but Tony assured him that he was probably just fine.

Onscreen Peter stopped brushing his teeth.

“You’re a very difficult person to contact, Spider Man.” Nick Fury said in the dark corner of the room.

It then showed Peter pulling of his mask and some crazy disco ball guy.

“This is Mr. Beck,” Fury said.

The two shook hands.

“We could use someone like you on my world.” Beck told Peter.

“Your world?”

“Mr. Beck is from earth just not ours,” Nick confirmed. “The snap tore a hole in our dimension.”

And the screen showed Maria and Nick shooting at some rock monster.

“Your saying there's a multiverse?” Peter asked as he came back into view.

“You are sch a nerd!” Tony told Peter.

“Oh, come on your telling me that doesn’t in the least bit intrigue you?”

“Touche.”

“We have a job to do,” Fury said. “And you’re coming with us.”

“Pete you better not go with him,” Tony told him.

“I haven't even done this yet."

The scene cut to a water monster erupting from under a bridge.

“There's got to be someone else you can use," Peter voiced over.

Fury came back on screen.

“What about Thor?” Peter asked.

“Off world.”

“Captain Marvel?”

“Unavailable," Maria told him.

A fire monster practically exploded in front of MJ’s face.

“Look I’m just the friendly neighborhood Spiderman.”

The screen showed a Spiderman decked out in an all-black suit, hanging off the side of the building.

“Bitch please you’ve been to space.”

“When did you go to space?!” All them yelled collectively.

“I never went to space!” Peter yelled back.

That Beck guy flew across the sky, shooting at the water monster.

“What do you want Peter?”

“I want to go back on my trip with the girl who I really like and tell her how I feel.”

The scene cut to Peter and MJ walking.

“MJ I-”

“Am Spiderman?”

“No, of course I’m not...”

“I mean it’s kind of obvious.”

Peter just shook his head and the scene changed to one of the elemental monsters attacking a bridge.

“You’re right you may not be ready. But this is my responsibility,” Beck told him. “Saving the world requires sacrifice. Sometimes people die.”

“I don’t trust that guy,” Bucky spoke up.

“Yeah, me neither, I recognize him from somewhere,” Tony agreed.

The scene showed Peter taking off Tony’s glasses.

“Oh my god,” he whispered.

“I gave you my glasses?” Tony asked.

“I guess? Thanks Mr. Stark.”

The scene showed devastation then Peter swinging along in a new red and black suit.

“I just always feel like I’m putting my friends in danger,” Peter voiced over. “The world needs the next Iron Man.”

The screen showed Peter setting up his suit in a very similar way to Tony’s.

“You guys are like the same person,” Sam said.

“Hey, you don’t need to be the next Iron Man, one, I’m not going anywhere, two, you just stay in the neighborhood bud.”

Peter just nodded and rested his head on Tony’s shoulder.

Then a scene of Beck submerged in green smoke.

“Are you going to step up or not?” Nick asked Peter.

Peter looked to another mural of Iron Man and a look of determination came over his face.

A fire monster attacked, and Peter swung from one building to another.

A plane flew by and the screen showed Happy and a group of teenagers.

“I got to get you guys out of here!” he yelled. “Get on the jet!”

“Who are you?” MJ asked.

“I work with Spiderman.”

“You work for Spiderman?” Flash’s voice cracked in excitement at the end.

“I work with Spiderman not for Spiderman,” Happy insisted.

The jet blew up behind them.

“New plan!” The screen cut to black.

“Well, that was enlightening...” Tony said.

“Everything will make much more sense about why Peter was emotionally traumatized from this event, well much more than usual I guess” The voice came over the loudspeaker.

They all looked at each other uneasily at that.

Chapter Text

The Avengers waited in the movie theatre for about half an hour. They tried to talk but it was awkward. The civil war had broken them all.

“Are you ready for the next clip?” The voice came back. A few people jumped. “Let’s hope you are, because this next clip is a big one. Some back story, Beck, or Mysterio is not a good guy. He was fooling Peter this whole time to get the Edith glasses. These were left to Peter by Tony and a note was left with them. ‘For the next Tony Stark, I trust you.’ and Edith stands for, Even Dead I’m The Hero. Peter gave these glasses to Beck when he thought he was good. He gave them to him because he didn’t believe he was worthy to carry on with Tony’s legacy. But this had been Beck’s and his followers plan to get back at Tony for firing them. He was one of the people to help create the hologram sequence.”

“I knew that I recognized him!” Tony exclaimed.

“Yes, but he will someday make things very difficult for young Peter. Now if you would all kindly return to your seats.”

The Avengers made their way back to their seats and the screen came on once again.

Blue pixels faded from the walls.

“Alright it’s just another-!” Peter ducked as something came through the wall, ramming straight into Fury. He knocked up against the wall. “Fury!”

A drone came up behind Peter. It hit him straight in the chest causing him to fly off the ledge, making him hit every wall as he flew down. He coughed as he landed.

“Peter!” Tony said.

“I’m probably fine Mr. Stark.”

“Wait, you just fell really far and really fast, how are you not dead?” Clint asked.

“Super healing, strength, agility, among other things,” Tony replied for him.

“Wow Peter, wow,” Beck voiced over.

Peter started to stand up.

“I thought we were close. Fury always had to die.”

Green lasers were on his chest. “But not you.”

“Stop hiding Beck!” Peter yelled.

He used his web shooters to try and destroy one of the drones, but it turned out to be an illusion.

“Wait so, he’s using these drones to make illusions?” Wanda asked.

“Yeah, they weren't always drones, but he must have changed it so that he could cover a larger scale.”

“I tried to help you walk away,” Beck said as the illusions faded away to concrete and Peter stumbled around in confusion. “Now you’re making me do this.”

Peters once black suit turned into his red one. Loud crashes sounded behind Peter and he turned to see a room and Mysterio stalking towards him.

“You told me you were just a kid.” Peter tried using his web shooters again but all that came out was green fog. Mysterio was behind him and Peter turned. “You told me,” Peter punched Mysterio but he punched concrete instead. He cradled his hand to his chest, “you wanted to run after that girl.”

Peter cringed when his hand hit the wall. He curled closer to Tony.

“Help me!” MJ’s voice called out. “MJ!” Peter cried.

“MJ!” the real Peter called out at the same time. Tony ran his fingers through Peter’s hair, trying to comfort him.

He body slammed into a door and burst into what looked like the top of the Eiffel Tower.

“What the-?” Peter yelled as he almost flew off the edge.

“Peter, what's going on?” MJ asked frantically.

“I know this isn't real!” Peter said.

“Do you though?” Beck asked as green smoke came up behind MJ and grabbed her by the throat.

“MJ!” Mysterio dropped MJ and she screamed as Peter tried to reach her. He fell after her and landed hard on the ground, MJ nowhere to be seen. Peter scrambled to get up.

“I don’t think you know what’s real Peter,” Beck voiced over.

Tony looked angry.

“I’m going to kill this guy.”

Peter was suddenly being pulled back by something. Light was going by fast around him. Then it stopped and showed a building. It had a flickering light sign that read Queens. A gigantic fist hit Peter as it came out of the building.

“Oh!” Peter yelled as he flew back. He hit glass which broke around him and he flew through it, glass fragments surrounding him as he fell in slow motion. He fell through green spikes and screamed. He tried using his web shooters to save him, but they fell short and Peter continued to fall.

“You need to wake up!” Beck yelled as the illusions stopped around him and he fell onto a parked car. Peter breathed heavily as he looked around him.

Peter flinched in his seat as the on-screen version of him hit the car.

The illusions pixeled the sky again and gigantic glass shards fell around him in a circle. Peter looked around him in fear. “

I mean look at yourself,” Beck said to him.

Peter tilted his head as he looked in the mirror. He reached out his hand and tried to touch the mirror. But the Spiderman in the mirror seemed to grab him. And the other Spiderman’s came and attacked him from all sides. Peter was overwhelmed and soon they were all piling onto him.

There was raw fear reflected in Peter’s eyes. “I don’t want that to happen to me,” he whispered. Most of them heard him.

“We’re not going to let it happen punk,” Bucky told him. Despite not knowing the kid that well he was immediately drawn to his childlike attitude. The others shared his view.

“You are just a scared little kid in a sweat suit.”

The other Spiderman’s disappeared and showed Peter in his original suit.

“I created Mysterio to give the world someone to believe in! I control the truth! Mysterio is the truth!”

A large statue of Mysterio loomed over Peter and the real one landed behind him. He threw his green smoke at him and Peter flipped to avoid it. Peter tried once again to use his web shooter, but they just went straight through him. Peter Pulled but a large piece of equipment fell through the illusion. Peter continued to try and avoid Beck’s assaults. A large fist fell by Peter. And Peter was in his normal suit again, kneeling on one knee. He looked up slowly, only to see a gravestone.

“If you were good enough, maybe Tony would still be alive.”

The gravestone read Anthony Edward Stark.

“Peter,” Tony said quietly.

“I don’t know why my future self, thought that, Mr. Stark,” Peter told him. “Maybe it was my fault.”

“Kid, don’t you ever say that.”

A metal hand shot out of the ground. And Peter fearfully scrambled back as a seemingly decaying Iron Man suit crawled its way out of the grave. It zoomed in on its face and spiders were crawling through it as a human decaying skull was shown inside the suit.

“What the fucking hell?” Sam asked.

“Language.”

“Seriously though that is messed up,” Clint said.

Tony looked horrified at what Peter might have- no will never expirence.

A spider flew out of the eye and it zoomed in on the eyes and thousands of Mysterios were shown marching.

“Deep down you know I’m right.”

Peter tried running but ran into a glass wall. He stumbled back and landed in snow. Towers rose around him.

“You made your choice.” The screen zoomed out and showed what looked to be a snow globe resting on Mysterios head. “And all you had to do is step aside.” Mysterio took off the snow globe helmet. “And now you ha-!” Beck was cut off and the illusions stopped around him. Beck seemed to be shot. A very much alive Nick Fury stumbled behind him, holding a gun. Black vans and men with guns and combat gear surrounded Beck.

“Fury!” Peter called.

“Beck’s people are trying to find everyone who can expose them,” Fury said. “Who’d you tell?”

“Um-”

“I know you told someone.”

“This doesn’t feel right,” Natasha said.

“Yeah, I'm getting that too,” muttered Tony.

Peter put his hands on his head.

“So just tell me, who did you tell? Who else did you tell?!”

“Okay! Just Ned and MJ from my class, and maybe Ned told his girlfriend but that’s it.”

Fury crossed his arms and chuckled, shaking his head.

“What?” Peter asked.

“You are so dumb.”

“What?” “You’re smart as a whip, just a sucker,” Fury’s voice changed to Beck’s at the end and pixels faded from around Fury, revealing Beck. “Now all your friends have to die.”

“So, he was an illusion, he can make people into illusions too?” Wanda asked.

“Yeah, it was part of the program,” Tony told her.

Peter made a sound of surprise and stumbled as illusions came around him again.

Beck stalked towards him. “It’s easy to fool people when they’re already fooling themselves. But for what it’s worth Peter, I really am sorry.”

Peter stopped as the illusions did, and his suit seemed to reflect surprise and a train crashed into Peter.

“Oh my god!” they all collectivly yelled.

“Peter if you are dead, you’re so grounded,” Tony told him.

Beck’s gaze followed the train as it took Peter away. “Edith?”

“Yes Quintin?” “Access files to Peter Parker’s class trip. I need them to fly home from London.”

The screen cut to show the train in a tunnel. A bloody hand gripped the side of it, desperately trying to pull themselves up.

They all breathed a sigh of relief.

“Oh, thank god,” Tony clutched his chest.

Peter stumbled through one of the train compartments doors, whimpering and moaning in pain. He took off his mask as he fell into one of the seats. He lay there coughing as he held his ribs, arching his back in agony. He then passed out.

The voice came over the speaker again. “There are only a couple more clips for me to show you. For now, enjoy the snacks I’ve provided for you.” A long table filled with snack food and drinks appeared beside them. They were just going to have to wait to see what awaited them or rather Peter in the next clip.

Chapter Text

“This is a disaster!” Peter yelled, sitting in a pile of Cheetos, ranch covering the side of his face.

After the table of food had come out, things had gotten a little...crazy.

Now, while it was a gigantic pile of food, everyone was well aware of the high metabolisms of some of their team members. So, as soon as they got the chance, the people without the high metabolism, sprinted to the table, grabbing as much as possible before the table was demolished. This had of course started a food fight and soon, they were all covered in snacks.

Now, Peter, was an innocent in all this. He had watched as his friends and family rushed to the table and started throwing hands, or should he say food?

Peter had stayed out of the way, but...he was freaking hungry! So, what did Peter do? He snuck up to the table, his only intention was to grab an apple and be done with it. Well, that plan fell through when a vegetable tray flew past him, ranch spraying the side of his face.

They all stopped and looked towards the culprit; a scared looking Thor held the last of the broccoli a sheepish grin on his face.

Bucky and Tony looked at each other, looked at the pies in their hands and in synch threw the pies at Thor. And that’s how he ended up covered in food and watching as the others battled to the death.

Why was this his life?
