Chapter 1: Hybrid Right Organization (HRO)
Hybrid Rights Act of 1968
This act had been legally and lawfully signed by the President stating that discrimination against hybrids has been prohibited. This act allowed the integration of schools and other public facilities, and made employment discrimination illegal. Hybrid breeding in captivity was prohibited. Ownership of a hybrid meant if something were to happen to your hybrid under your care, the government would get involved.
The act was signed a few years after the civil rights movement when a warehouse of around 120 hybrids and their litters was repossessed. The hybrids were illegally being smuggled in and out of the country and being sold for everything from sex trafficking to slavery. The bureau had said that it looked like a concentration camp inside. “The smell of feces and decomp flooded the place.”- Detective Palmer (The head officer in the investigation) It was the worst case of really anything they had ever seen. Everyone working that case had been nauseous and/or uncontrollably sobbed at least once during that entire investigation. Even the news reporters had been scarred from the inhumane actions that had taken place for years before it’s discovery.
Hybrids were treated like normal everyday humans (aside from their animal traits and habits of course). Adopting a hybrid had to be done in the same way that a human would adopt a child. Lots of paperwork and money was involved but it was still possible. Most everyday hybrids lived out life with jobs and families. There were even stores that only focused on hybrid’s needs such as fashion, nutrition and so on. Although everything seemed normal, there were still humans out there who trafficked not only hybrids but other humans as well.
HRO (Hybrid Rights Organization) that’s where you come in. Your team was the rescue and recovery branch. Specializing in the rehabilitation of mistreated hybrids. Most of the hybrids you rescued were bred illegally in captivity. Abused “house pets” mostly. People who wouldn’t pass background checks or didn’t want to go through the adoption process would buy hybrids from private auctions.
You had been looking to buy a house on the outskirts of the city. Nothing fancy but that had enough space to host hybrids that were enrolled in the program. You came across a cute gray and white countryside home on a private lake. It was a 4bedroom 3bath house with a huge backyard and a shed. You instantly fell in love and signed the papers. Through the years you’ve hosted around 30 hybrids. They come into your home and leave when they have passed their evaluation screening, starting a new life as an independent hybrid.
Hybrids were known for their insane amounts of affectionate needs, especially recovering hybrids, but for some reason you couldn’t come to understand was the fact that they were never as affectionate with you as they were with everyone else they came to trust. It wasn’t that they didn't trust you, because they did, but they wouldn’t be found asking for cuddles or wrapping you in a hug randomly when they needed attention. It made you feel like there was something wrong with you but you never questioned, not wanting to make them feel uncomfortable.
The reason you knew so much about hybrids was the fact that your parents were hybrids themselves. Your mom was a grey wolf and your dad was an Alaskan timber wolf. It was quite normal for hybrid couples to give birth to a human child. Hybrids were originally human lab subjects in the early 1900s that were modified by the sick bastards that thought they could recreate the creatures in old folklore. Werewolves. Part man, part wolf. How they’d breed packs and have the stamina and strength of a bull. They thought it would change the sex industry with the high reproductive urges of animals otherwise known as “Heats and Ruts” Thus creating modified humans of different spieces and races that harnessed animal traits and features (a tail, ears and fangs) depending on the spieces of animal they’ve been spliced with. Throughout the years, many hybrids would mate with not only their kind but humans as well resulting in hybrids of all different breeds.
You however just so happened to be the average one in the bunch. 3 generations of hybrid genes and then there was you, the human girl. Your family would make jokes that you were actually found in an alleyway and your parents took you in. Others would say that your genes would come eventually. Now that you were in your 20’s, the thought of hybrid genes randomly blossoming seemed way to far fetched.
Not to mention your lack of relationships. Maybe humans and hybrids alike avoided you because you had larger than average curves? You had a nice body and a pretty face so why was it so hard to find a man in this damn city!? Giving up on the possibility of dating was however easy. How would you explain to a boyfriend that you had a male hybrid in your home? Plus you were always working. The only time that you were home was if you were hosting hybrids.
A call came in late one night about a hybrid that had been picked up after raiding a strip club. They had gotten a call about a male wolf that was being used as a main attraction if clients where willing to pay an extra 2 grand. Your partner sounded uneasy about the whole ordeal.
“Sorry to wake you up and drop this on you on your time off, noona. Are you sure it’s ok if he stays with you?” Christopher’s voice was hushed trying to avoid listening ears.
“Yes, Topher. Just bring him over. We’ll figure out things when you get here”.
With that you hung up the phone and quickly got out of bed. It’s true, this was the first week off in years, but you didn’t seem to mind. What else would you do with your time? All your friends were married with kids or in a relationship so they never had time to hang out anyways. You didn’t mind being alone although it did get old after 3 days of binging Lucifer on Netflix and only small talk with your neighbor when you’d see him and his hybrid outside playing.
The HRO van backed into the driveway and a large man sporting rabbit ears and a bullet proof vest emerged. You smiled at the way his ears flicked to and fro as he made his way over to you.
“So what we got?” You said standing from your spot on the porch steps.
“Well, he’s something, that’s for sure.” Christopher rolls his eyes and continues with a sigh.
“He says his name is Taehyung. 23. 5’10. 146lbs. I ran his ID. He’s a Canis Lupus. A smart mouthed one at that.” Topher’s snarky comment makes you snort “ So you knew to bring him here because you’d think I could handle his species... As long as he doesn’t run.” Topher giggles and taps your shoulder with his clipboard. “I’m sure he won’t noona. He seems like he just has something against being manhandled by a rabbit. By the way he has this strange ability of hiding his hybrid features.”
You follow him to the back where your guest is being held. Not really paying close attention to Topher but focusing more on the weird sensation you felt in your gut.
When Topher ushers him out an electric shock runs down your spine causing you to go ramrod straight. The man’s large shoulders rolled as he peered down at you through his dark hair. He studied you with slight disinterest. His golden skin glowing in the moonlight. He was beautiful.
“Taehyung, this is Y/n. You’ll be staying with her until we can get you all sorted out. If you don’t like these accommodations, we also have a shelter if you’re willing to share a bed. Ok?” Taehyung nods and you lead them into the house. Taehyung eyes the place blankly as you give the overall tour and once you show him his room, he closes the door in your and Christopher’s face. Leaving the two of you in the hallway.
“ I’m sorry noona. If he’s too much i can take him to our shelter faculties” you give Topher a reassuring smile.
“ I’m sure it’ll be fine. He just needs some time adjusting” Topher sighs rubbing his forehead and hands you the paperwork. You say your goodbyes and watch him drive away.
What was that feeling?
Chapter 2: Rude Guest
Who does this dumb wolf think he is? This short chapter touches on Y/n's growing suspicions of the man she has under her roof and his rude nature.
You made your way to Taehyung’s room down the hall and knocking lightly on his door.
“Taehyung? Can I come in?” you listened but there was no answer. He probably wasn’t ready to talk yet so you went about your nightly routine. 2 hours later you went to go check on him again with no luck so you said goodnight through the closed door and went to bed.
You woke to the smell of food. Making your way into the kitchen, you were met with a half naked man cooking at your stove. Back turned away from you and a pair of pajama bottoms that you never remembered buying as spare clothes for you hybrid guests. His bare shoulders flexing at the scent of your presence. You’d be lying if you said that he wasn’t the most beautiful thing you’d ever seen. There was something odd about him though. Usually when hybrids came into your care, they have signs of abuse such as scars, bruises, wounds, ect… Taehyung had none of the sorts. His bare back showed no signs of trauma whatsoever. He didn’t even have ears or a tail. He spoke ripping you from your thoughts.
“Are you just gonna stand there and stare or are you gonna eat?” The sound of his voice threw you off. It was threateningly deep but as smooth as velvet.
“U-um sorry. I just didn’t expect you to be-” Taehyung cut you off by slamming the fridge door shut. “You didn’t expect what? For me to be normal? Ya. I didn't ask to be ‘rescued’. I have a job. A girlfriend and a place to stay so if you could let me go, I'll be more than pleased to go back to that life.” the fire he was spewing put you on edge but you maintained your composer. No hybrid had ever been this…… normal? Their physical, emotional and mental stability was usually almost nonexistent.
You eyed him suspiciously. If he had such a normal life then why did the team pick him up?
You made your way over to the kitchen table and took a seat, not taking your eyes off of the man.
“If you are than why were you picked up and if you have a girlfriend than why were you with other women? I thought wolves find a partner and mate for life?” you narrow your eyes at him waiting for him to answer ALL of your questions with good explanations and possible proof. Taehyung made his way over to the table with a plate of pancakes, dropping them in front of you as he leaned in uncomfortably close to your face. You could feel his hot breath on your cheeks..
“Just because she's my girlfriend, doesn’t automatically make her my mate.” He smirked when you rolled your eyes and inched the chair away from him trying to focus your attention to something other than his douchie, handsome face . “ You smell weird. Are you sure you're human?” his question hits a nerve. You’re both annoyed and hurt by his passive insults.. “ My parents are hybrids. Now can you please back up and get out of my face?” Taehyung smirks, retracting himself from your personal bubble and sits in the chair across from you, shoving a fork of pancakes into his piehole.
The next few days go by and Taehyung had confirmed that he had a job as a warehouse manager after his boss called and bitched HRO out for keeping his employee from doing his job. Yet HRO hadn’t approved his release so for the next few days you had to live with his non stop discrimination about you and your single life. Going as far as making Pillsbury dough boy noises when he poked your sides. Not to mention the insulting nickname he had given you….. Chubbs. The nickname was offensive and made you continuously starve yourself. When he wasn’t home you’d opt to eating in your room or not eating at all. Taehyung’s presence just made you feel more lonely. You hadn’t felt this way since your k-12 days. He had made it seem like you were just a fat, smelly female that was forcing him to stay around when in all reality you’d hope that he’d get ballsy and just leave you alone to live your life in solitude, like before he arrived.
Chapter 3: Taehyung's POV
What had truly happened to Taehyung that night? No spoilers ;)

Taehyung had plans to meet up with his girlfriend Stephanie at a restaurant downtown. He had planned on asking her to marry him that night knowing deep down that she wasn’t his true mate but he loved her. They had grown up together and his breed had been going extinct. Steph wasn’t exactly a faithful woman. Always partying and going home with other wolves and sometimes even hybrids. Tonight just happened to be one of those nights. She was in another town partying with the cat hybrid she had met a few weeks prior. Her beliefs were that if it wasn’t her mate that she’d keep looking but she’d never tell Taehyung that. She knew his intentions for tonight and blew him off, as per usual.
Taehyung called her and her pocket must have answered the call. All he could hear was her giggles and the voice of a man that was unrecognizable. Instantly, Tae lost it hanging up and ordering himself multiple drinks at the bar. He texted his best friend Jimin and heard nothing back assuming the other wolf had been out on his weekend run with his mate Ashley. He stumbled from the restaurant making his way to the club a few blocks down. There, he had bumped into a beautiful girl. She had long black hair that trailed down her back and enchanting blue eyes. Her pale skin glowed under the strobe lights. Her black dress showing off every curve she had to offer. Taehyung lost himself in her, pulling her close as they grinded on the dance floor. A few hours went by and she was pulling him towards what looked like a strip club. His mind was too far gone to care, as long as she took care of his needs.
Next thing he knew, his buzz had worn off (probably from his inhuman metabolism) and he had woken up in a purple room. Everything but the black carpet was purple. Even the lighting was purple. Feeling nauseous he got up to look for a bathroom or at least a trash can. A red dot up in the corner of the room caught his eye making him freeze. It was a camera filming his every move. He instantly knew where he was. There were stories about beautiful men and women luring hybrids into brothels in this city and Taehyung had drunkenly followed one of them right into their trap. Fuck. The good thing was that Taehyung wasn’t a hybrid. He came from a long line of pure lycan blood that flowed through his veins so shifting and breaking out of this place would be a piece of cake, but before he went, he wanted to meet his kidnapper and have some fun by ripping the skin from their body, so he waited.
It felt like it had been only about 10 minutes before the door was busted down and what looked like a swat team had rushed in, asking for his name and identification. After all that Taehyung was put in the back of a van and taken to the outskirts of town. He had tried explaining his circumstances to the young bunny officer but protocol had sent him straight to your place. The bunny had explained that for a few days he had to stay in their custody for everyone’s safety. The idea of being dragged to holding facilities didn’t sit well with him. He planned on making a run for it once the van doors opened. Taehyung started to recognize the area. He had seen these houses before. They were only a few miles away from the den and he had run past them on many different occasions. Always picking up the scent of another wolf but never daring to get closer. He’d always convinced himself that it was Steph’s scent that excited him while running this part of the woods but it was definitely different. Stephanie’s scent was more rigid, having hints of flowers and something nutty. This scent however was more soft, smelling of vanilla and citrus and sometimes cinnamon. Still Tae never ventured close enough to investigate. Lycans were a mythological fantasy and needed to stay that way to protect the pack. If humans knew of their existence, they’d be captured and tested on like the human ancestors of hybrids. Once in a blue moon, a lycan was born from hybrids with wolf origins. The clan called them Rogue wolves. Lone wolves as some would call them. Born with lycan blood, most were cursed to walk the earth alone, not having the knowledge that they were even blessed with their abilities. Most lycans turned as pups, but with rogue wolves, there wolf could only be present if awakened. If their wolf was never awakened, they’d live life as a normal human, not knowing a thing about their true identity. They were looked down upon as vermin. Their scent and aura was threatening to most hybrids and humans alike. It was different, a scent that hybrids usually have never smelt before and to humans the vibes that rogues would emit, gave them uneasy feelings. As if they were being watched and made the hair on the back of their fragile little necks stand up. Rogues smelled like any other wolf to lycans so it wasn’t usually the scent that gave them away, it was their lack of instinct.
When the bunny opened the driver side door, your scent smacked Tae in the face harder than Jimin, the day he found out Tae had been cheating every time they played poker and had made bets with cash. The smell was intoxicating. His heart began to race sending waves of electricity down his spine. “There’s no fuckin way” he murmured to himself thinking about the only reason that he could be this affected by someone’s scent in this way… His mate.
Stepping out of the van, he inconspicuously eyed you up and down, drinking in your figure. You had more curves than Stephanie, that’s for sure but you were shorter than her by at least 3 inches. You were cute and Taehyung hated that. Walking through your house was torture. Your scent was everywhere, sending his wolf into a frenzy. Tae kept having to refrain from semi-shifting in front of you and the rabbit boy, so once he was shown to his room, he slammed the door shut succumbing to his wolf’s nature. Fangs ripped from his gums. His chocolate brown eyes were swallowed by icy blue ones. His claws retracted.Taehyung needed to shift. If he didn’t, god only knows what kind of danger you and the bunny would be in. He feared more for the bunny’s life than yours. His wolf hated that stupid boy. Why was this bunny with his mate? What were his intentions? He had to get away.
Opening up the bedroom window, he fled, shedding his clothes as he ran. Shifting was second nature to him, but for the first time since he was a pup, it was excruciating. He never had to fight his wolf this hard. He had to get far enough away from you because if he shifted this close, that bunny was done for. He knew his wolf wouldn’t hurt you but, it had been awhile since his wolf had hunted and that hybrid would make easy prey. As soon as he got some miles away, he gave in. His once icy blue irises were devoured by black from the outer to inner corners of his eyes. A growl erupted from deep in his chest. Bones popped and shifted into place as fur sprouted from his pores. His face morphing from man to beast in an instant. His wolf was massive, standing about 6’9. He cried out and took off running in blind rage. Tae needed to tear something apart. How could all of this be happening? First Stephanie and now this? You? His mate? It couldn’t possibly be you. He had only known you for like 20 minutes max and he could already tell that your wolf was dormant. He could sense it.
Chapter 4: Dormant

He came to a trot. The clearing ahead was the entrance to the pack dens. To humans and hybrids, it looked like an average community of houses up in the mountains with a main building in the middle for church and celebrations, with only one road leading in and out. Basically an extremely small town and it pretty much was other than the fact that all the residents were werewolves. Taehyung sprinted to his house, shifting back at the front door. He needed to talk to Namjoon the packs next leader. Joon was strong, intelligent and attractive. His only downfall was not knowing his own strength. There were many instances when he’d break things with the slightest of touch. That’s when Jin, his right hand, had to come in and fix the damage he’d done. Jin also lead the hunting packs. Jin would’ve been the new pack leader but he's soft, having a weird fascination with human cooking shows and everything pink. He’d rather live his life than have the lives of 42 wolves to look after. Namjoon was enough. After pulling on some clothes, he followed Jimin’s scent to the main hall. He immediately spotted Jimin, a woman with long white hair sat in his lap as he rubbed her side with one hand and held his beer in another. “Hey Ash, do you think i could steal Jimin for a few minutes?” Tae asked sitting on the edge of the coffee table in front of the couple. “ She nodded, getting up and giving Tae a curious eyebrow before making her way up the stairs, to the lounge area. Tae and Jimin watched her until she was out of view before speaking. “I found my mate.” Jimin eyed Tae questioningly before bursting into a fit of giggles. “Tae just because Steph said yes, doesn’t make her your mate.” Taehyung frowned leaning closer to the Silver haired wolf. “Not Steph.. She blew me off again. She’s probably with that wolf that Ashley caught her with a few months ago. Didn’t you get my text? I sent it at like 6?” “ No, my phone is at home. Ash and I just got back about 20 minutes ago. What do you mean you found your mate?” Jimin was dumbfounded. Last he’d heard from Tae was at like 4:30, after he’d gotten off of work. He was going to ask Stephanie to marry him over dinner at 5 and now he had found his mate? It had only been like 12 hours! Granted most of the pack saw Steph as trouble. Ashley and her have had their brawls, but Steph was the daughter of the Alpha Leader of the pack, meaning she held power. Though even her father hoped that do to her feral nature, she’d find her mate, come the Blue moon ceremony.
Taehyung explained everything that had happened, including his suspicions of you’re dormant wolf and by the end of it, Jimin sat in silence, malling over Tae’s situation. “So are you gonna go back?” Taehyung shrugged, moving to the chair next to Jimin. “My wolf is making it hard to even be here right now but I’m with Stephanie, so I’m thinking I can figh-” Jimin snorted taking a sip of his beer. “Please. You and Steph haven’t been an actual thing since high school. Plus, it’s not up to you who your mate ends up being. You know that. Do you remember how much I hated the western highlands pack? Now I’m planning on marrying and having pups with one of their omegas… And a sexy little thing she is too.” Jimin smirks looking off into the distance, finishing off his beer. Taehyung sighs sliding deeper into his chair. “What if she’s a rogue?”
“If she is one, just bring her wolf out.” The comment peaks Taehyung’s interest. Bring her wolf out? “How am I supposed to do that Chim?” Tae sighed in frustration, running his hands through his dark locks. “Well it happened to my buddy Taemin from the pack out in the eastern waterfront. He said that all it really took was his pheromones.. It triggered her heat cycle, but the shitty part is that he had to basically teach her how to ‘wolf’ and go through her pain with her… I think the biggest obstacle for you is going to be breaking the news to our pack leader.. Oh and everyone expecting her into the pack of course.” Jimin rubbed the back of his neck and flashed Taehyung an apologetic smile. “And Steph..” The last few comments annoyed Taehyung. Especially the one about his girlfriend. He loved Stephanie more than anything. How could this female possibly walk into his life and change that? But what if? Having to deal with Stephanie’s recklessness was getting exhausting. Her coming home, smelling like another male broke him. He always dreamed of settling down and having a family, but Steph didn’t want that. It’s not that she hated kids, she just didn’t want any of her own if it wasn’t with her true mate. What if you gave him the opportunity to have what he wanted out of life? It’s not like he was getting any younger after all. His wolf wanted to calm you right then and there but Taehyung’s heart was in another place with another woman. He doubted letting go of Steph would be easy but he had to try if he didn’t want to spend the rest of his life with a woman he could never truly be with and make his. He had to at least try with you.
It was 8:34am when he finally got back to your place, picking up his discarded articles of clothing from a few hours ago. The magnetic pull from his wolf forced him to go back after packing a small bag of clothes and essentials.
This was stupid. He thought that this probably had to be the dumbest idea he’d ever come up with. He hadn’t heard anything from Steph yet either. Would she even care? Well, she probably would but fuck it. Luckily you hadn’t woken up yet. What should he do now? Make you pancakes as an apology for being so audacious last night? Ya sure, that works. He’ll make you apology pancakes. After changing into pajamas, that he had brought from home, to give the illusion that he had never left, he made his way to your kitchen. Tae knew how to cook, he just hated doing it. He found everything that he needed fairly quickly and in no time the entire house was consumed by the aroma of the fluffy golden disks.
Suddenly he caught a whiff of your scent. You had woken up and had somehow made your way into the kitchen without him even noticing. Your scent was making even the most simplistic tasks, overbearingly difficult. His wolf just wanted to bend you over the kitchen table and claim you but Tae wanted none of that. He needed to figure you out first. Plus, he was more than positive that if he even shifted in the slightest, it’d scar you for life. At least he assumed that it would.
Within the time Taehyung had been staying with you, he came to find his wolf getting impatient. You were adorable to him and some of the things you’d do, made him want to hold you. His rationality would get the best of him, taking his frustrations out on you. He honestly didn’t mean to, this whole ordeal was just a lot for him to process and you being around him wasn’t helping.
You had made a suggestion that he should go to work and gladly took you up on the offer. It’d give him time away from you. It agitated his wolf, being away from you for so long and honestly it got to him too. Having 8-9 hour work days with you always on his mind disrupted him from doing his job. He caught himself fantasizing about coming home to you every night quite often throughout the day. Wondering what you were doing at that very moment. He couldn’t honestly wait to go home, but when he did, dinner would be made and you’d already be in your room for the night.
Chapter 5: Falling out

Tae was leaving work when he received an incoming call, answering it without checking the caller ID.
“Hey Taetae! Sorry i didn’t make it to dinner the other night. I got caught up with work and was staying with a friend.” Taehyung sighed, playing with the alligator on his key chain. Stephanie was clearly lying to him, but he didn’t have it in him to start anything. Fighting with her was exhausting. She never truly saw her actions as iniquitous and Tae’s opinions were, more often than not, validated. She was blinded by her own reckless nature.
“Are you mad at me? Can I make it up to you with a night in? I’ll order takeout?”
Even though he hadn’t been in the mood to deal with her tonight, he at least had to figure things out between the two of them. Last time he saw Steph, he DIDN’T have a mate. Which reminded him, he needed to call you and make up a believable excuse as to why he was staying out later than usual.
“Fine. I’ll be home in about 30 minutes.”
He sat in his car, staring at your number for a moment before placing the call. About 2 seconds later, you had picked up. You were so soft spoken compared to Stephanie’s loud, obnoxious pitch. The difference was uncanny.
“Hey Taehyung. Is everything ok?” He couldn’t help but smile to himself. Your cute, caring nature always threw him for a loop.
“Ya, ya everything is fine. I just wanted to let you know that I’m gonna be working late tonight.” Your long pause made him nervous. For some strange reason, he hated lying to you. It wasn’t like he was cheating on you. You two weren’t together, so why did he feel so guilty?
“Oh ok….. I was almost done with dinner. Do you want me to make you a plate and leave it in the fridge?” God why were you so cute!? You weren’t making this any easier for him!
“No, no it’s fine. I’ll just grab something on my break.”
“Ok. Well, I hope your not out too late. Be safe.” He didn’t deserve you. What he would give to smother the living shit out of you with affection right now.
“Ok. Oh and Y/n. Thank you.”
The whole way there, Tae couldn’t stop beating himself up. He’d been treating you like garbage. Always critiquing your lifestyle, even going as far as teasing you about your extra weight and yet you were still so kind to him. He had hoped that you would’ve snapped at him by now, but your passive nature would result in you to confining yourself to the solitude of your bedroom.
Pulling up to his house, Tae noticed that the lights in his living room were on. Steph must’ve been there waiting already… He had given her a key with future plans of pups and a forever home for the two of them in mind. That dream had been long disregarded after her numerous affairs that left Taehyung alone most nights, surrounded by empty liquor bottles and the quiet hum of the tv.
A woman with long jet black hair, sporting high waisted shorts and a crop top, emerged from the house. Your scent was the first thing she noticed. He’d smelled more like you than he had himself, but Steph quickly waved her suspicions they could even surface. Taehyung was a lot of things but he wasn’t a cheater, especially when it came to her. She knew how much he cared about her.
The night was full of small talk and awkward silence. The takeout was mediocre compared to your home cooking. He has always known that Steph couldn’t cook for shit. Even burning bread mark into one of Tae’s pans when she tried making a grilled cheese, which led him to teaching himself how to cook. He wasn’t the best cook in the world but at least he had the basics down. Pancakes and noodle dishes being his strong hold.
You and Stephanie were so different. Steph was sexy, tall, athletic and the life of the party, always putting Taehyung in a good mood with her loud mouthed and adventurous nature. You were smart, patient, kindhearted and curvy yet small. You were just overall adorable. He hadn’t really seen every side to you yet, but from the things that he’s witnessed so far, he could tell you’d be an amazing mother to his children.
Taehyung hadn’t noticed Steph sitting in his lap until something warm and wet slide up his neck, rooting him from his thoughts. She continued assaulting his neck with open mouthed kisses, with the occasional nip to his sensitive skin. The more than familiar gesture sending waves of excitement through his body, although, something didn’t feel right to him. Usually having Steph on top of him was enough to have his head spinning. He knew it was because of you. It had to be you. Not once, in Tae and Steph’s 6 years of being together, had he not been more than willing to claim her. Even after all of the bullshit she’s put him through.
Stephanie could sense his discomfort and stopped.
“What’s wrong babe?” she breathlessly whispered while readjusting herself on his thighs. Taehyung was quiet, trying to look at anything but her zoning in on the porcelain vase his mother gave him in the corner of the room. She shook his shoulder before getting up and pacing the living room. If only she had noticed sooner. Him being more quiet than usual when she was home. The scent of a female wolf that lingered on his clothes. He didn’t love her anymore. He is leaving her. Taehyung couldn’t bare to even glance in her direction. The woman that he’d been in love since they were kids, now was a distant memory. He thought that he’d be falling apart at the seems by now, but to his surprise, he was too detached to care. He knew Steph would smell your scent, he just didn’t care.
“Who is she Tae?” To his complete and utter disbelief, she actually began to sob and to be quite frank, it pissed him off. What the fuck was she crying about? It’s not like he was going around, fucking whoever he pleased, like she was. She had a lot of nerve to sit stand there and play the fucking victim.
“My mate.” Tae couldn’t help his bitter tone. She had been hurting him for years and he comes home once smelling like another female and she breaks. As much as he’s thought about touching you, he’s refrained himself, for the soul purpose of keeping his head on his shoulders. Taehyung was a gentlemen which is why so many women in the pack and from other regains hoped to be mated with him.
She froze, her expression unreadable. He couldn’t hold back any longer. If this was ending tonight, he might as well make it count.
“ It’s funny that you act like I’M the bad guy when you’ve been fucking other men behind my back since we graduated high school.” She was dumbfounded. How had he known? If he’d known, he’d never said anything and never showed it. She just stood in silence as he continued. Becoming gradually smaller and submitting like the bitch she was.
“How could you come home to me after spending, sometimes weeks, with another man and not expect me to know, huh?... I would’ve given anything for you to love me back! Fuck, i even treated my own mate, the woman my wolf choose, like shit all because in my stupid head, i thought i could still love you and be with you after all that you’ve done. You’ve completely destroyed our future together with this fantasy that’s hurting the people around you Steph!” He gradually raised his voice, standing up out of one of the side chairs he’d been sitting in for the past 2 hours. He recoiled after seeing Stephanie’s slim figure trembling in fear of his dominant stature. This was the first time he’d ever screamed at her before. He was fair from his loving, playful character. All he wanted all these years was to make her happy, so why did she always feel the need to take refuge in other men?
Taehyung sighed, hanging his head to the floor while shoving his hands in his jean pockets.
“Steph, I think it’s best if you collect your things and go home. You have your life and i’m starting out mine.” All he could hear was muffled sobs as she ascended up the stairs to start collecting all belongs that she’d keep at Tae’s when she’d stay. He was rooted to the hardwood floor. After what felt like an eternity, Stephanie had come down the stairs with a duffel bag filled to the brim with her things. Her voice was soft when she spoke. It made Taehyung feel like a complete jackass but was done was done. There wasn’t any turning back. At least not while you were alive.
“I’m sorry Taetae. I…… I do love you but being with someone that I'm not destined to be with, made me restless. I wanted to try and find my mate before making my final decision of binding myself to you forever.” Taehyung still didn’t move, though he wanted to. Nothing in that moment felt real. There was a moment of silence before he heard a fumble of keys. She set the spare he’d given her, on the soft wood of the entrance table. Leaving Taehyung to root in his own solitude once again.

Taehyung sat on the couch, trying to process everything that had just happened. It shouldn’t have been that easy. He should be in shambles. About 5 minutes later, his front door opened and Jimin stepped inside.
“So you finally did it, huh?” The silver haired man sounded more cheerful than usual, making Taehyung cringe.
“Nice to see you too Chim.” The Alpha’s sarcasm had Jimin smiling, plopping down on the cushion next to him.
“I heard you yelling. You’re lucky that Ash is at work or she would’ve been over here in seconds.” The thought had Tae playfully rolling his eyes.
Since day 1 of Chim bringing her home, she had been nothing but over protective of Jimin’s closest friends and family. Which was the reason Steph and her butted heads so much. After the night that she had caught Steph with that guy, things started getting more physical between them. One time she had smashed Taehyng’s brand new glass coffee table after body slamming Steph right through it. Clearly it was out of rage and a total accident but,..... His $370 coffee table. She ended up paying for a new one as an apology of course and the rule ‘Take it outside’ started applying in Tae’s house, but every chance she got to dig her teeth into other omega, she’d take it. Ashley had only been mated with Jimin for about 3 years and yet it felt like she’d been here Tae’s whole life. Jimin and Ashley were like family to Tae. They both had been there for Taehyung, through most things, even if they were minor. Plus it made it easy, considering they lived right next door. Together, they were the power couple of the pack. Younger wolves looked up to their partnership. Jimin had always been chased by other female wolves in the pack, so when they found out about him being mated to a wolf from another region, they were mortified.
Tae eyed Jimin with a curious look plastered to his face.
“How were you able to start a new life with her? Like i know it had to have been hard but how did you know how to deal with so much change all at once?” Jimin sighed, enveloping further into the grey microfibers of the sofa.
“Well Taehyungie, it definitely was far from easy….. It just felt right… Like it was strange having a woman I had just met sleeping in my bed and knowing that I was destined to be with her for the rest of my life, but honestly, it was like falling in love without the bullshit attached. Like I'll never forget the 3rd day of her being here. We hadn’t even had sex yet because she was still adjusting to being at my place and that morning, i had woken up to her meditating to Custer by Slipknot on the living room floor, surrounded by candles, that only god knows where she got them from.” Uncontrollable laughter filled the room. Jimin wiping his tears as he came down from his high. Tae smiled, thinking about how polar opposite the two of them were. Jimin was more outgoing and energetic. The pack’s all out ‘pretty boy’. Ashley was more reserved and mysterious. A total metalhead babe. Sporting a large dragon tattoo that scaled 95% of the delicate pale skin on her back and only one piercing more than what Jimin had.
“Listen man, you are going through a lot more than Ash and I went through, but it’ll all work out. You just have to be patient….. At least with the relationship…… Now since Stephanie knows that you have a mate, news will probably start to move quickly and as soon as it reaches our Leader, he’s gonna make you move her here as quickly as possible to keep the pack safe.”
The smile that had blossomed across Tae’s face only seconds ago had dissipated, now replaced with anguish.
Jimin had risen from the couch and was headed to the front door before turning.
“You do know that it’s 5am right?”
Tae recoiled, springing onto his feet.
“Shit! Are you serious?! Fuck! She’s gonna be up soon! I gotta go!”
Taehyung sped through the back roads, slowing down when he neared your house. This would’ve been so much easier if he had just ran here and hopped through the window, but he knows for a fact that the question of his absent car in your driveway would make you even more suspicious. Being as quiet as he possibly can, he unlocked the front door and entered. He flinched seeing you curled up on the couch asleep. You moved, flipping subconsciously to face away from him. Tae watched as the blanket that had been covering a majority of you body, fell, escaping to the beige carpet. Showcasing what you had been hidden under the piece of heavy knit fabric. Your sky blue night dress had ridden up, to reveal your plump ass sporting lace black booty shorts. He felt like his heart could beat right out of his chest. Your skin looked so soft in the glow of the early morning light. Seeing you this exposed made his he spin with the things he’d love to do to you. One word infested his mind, playing over and over again, like a broken record.
‘Mine. mine. MINE. MINE. MINE!’
His wolf had taken over his thoughts. His heart felt like it would rip right out of his chest if he’d let it. Between your sweet scent and seeing you in such a state, he had to have you. Now.
Within three large strides, Tae was hovering over your body. He pulled back, only inches from your skin, when you had suddenly jolted from your sleep. You turned to look up at the man, meeting his lust filled glaze and guessing by your expression, you weren’t happy to see him.
“Did you Just get home?” Your voice was so sensual and raspy that Tae couldn’t think straight, so you continued. Paying no mind to the unanswered question.
“I waited for you until 3am. Where were you?”
The mention of his night without you, shook him from his daze. After truly seeing how close he had been to you, he distanced himself, taking a set on your coffee table. He gave you the only space his body would allow him. Tae couldn’t stay away from you anymore. If that meant telling you everything, then so be it. He used the last bit of his composer and logic he could muster up, taking a deep breath and rolling his shoulders before he speaking.
“I went to my house and had dinner with my girlfriend.” Your expression was unreadable as you sat further up. He watched your every move as you scooped up the disregarded fabric from the floor to cover your exposed skin. A light blush dusted your cheeks, making his heart palpitate.
“S-so instead of telling me the truth, you lied and said you were working late?” He stared at you out of pure curiosity. Absentmindedly answering your quite obvious question. It was almost like you were battling with your emotions. You were upset, yet your body oozed shy submission. He could tell you were hiding something other than your body.
“Why? Did you have some big special plans last night? Like watching a movie and eating dinner with me?”
The sarcastic remark had spilled out before he could catch it. Your demeanor completely changed from hurt to flat out livid in a matter of seconds. Standing, you flung the blanket at Taehyung’s face and stomped down the hallway, slamming your bedroom door shut. The sudden aggression had him shook. Maybe you did actually have plans. It wasn’t his intent on hurting your feelings, it was just he honestly thought that you wanted nothing to do with him. Plus the fact that you never really went out, spending most nights lounging at home.
The next thing Tae knew, it was 6pm. He had spent his time cleaning and playing video games. Only knocking on your door once to apologize, but there was no response. Usually you would’ve come out to start on dinner. It didn’t help that you had an on suite bath, so you wouldn’t be forced to leave your room to use the restroom. His hunger pains ushered him to the kitchen. Popping open the fridge, he found a large glass bowl that had been covered with tin foil. Presuming it must’ve been leftovers from the night before. Placing it on the counter, he noticed a green, flower shaped, sticky note attached.
‘I remember you saying you had been craving Jajangmyeon. I hope you like it! :) P.S. Sorry if I’m asleep when you get home. ~ Y/n’
His heart hit the floor. You did have plans for the two of you and he had sat there and mocked your rather sweet gesture. He didn’t know that you’ve been paying that close of attention to him. You had even acknowledged the fact that his favorite color was green. He’s seen you use that multi-colored pack of sticky notes before. You must’ve picked out the green one specifically for him. Why were you so cute? Tae knew he had to apologize properly. Sliding the bowl back into the fridge and making his way down the hall. Before he could make it to your room, your door opened. Your usual attire of sweat shorts and an oversized t-shirt had returned,... sadly. But it wasn’t your disheveled hair and clothing that made his hackles rise. It was your tear stained cheeks and puffy red eyes. You looked like a hot mess and it was all his fault.
You scooted past him, without saying a word and made your way into the kitchen. He’s trailed you at a distance, stopping when you had shot him a look that could only be described as murderous.
“Y/n, I’m sorry. I didn’t think that you would’ve had plans for last night and I-” You cut him off, slamming the fridge shut.
“You what Taehyung? If you had known, you would’ve showed up? Ya right. Giving up your night out with your beautiful, sexy, probably skinny, fun loving girlfriend to hang out with a fat, smelly no body isn’t exactly your style. I know. I get it.” Your verbal assault had thrown him for a loop. He knew that he had fucked up, but what’s gotten into you?
“I broke up with her. That’s why i was with her last night.” Your sarcastic chuckle was more than agitating. Clearly, you didn’t believe him.
“I don’t know that part of breaking up with someone involved you sleeping with them one last time.” Not looking in his general direction, you continued getting out leftovers from 2 nights ago and making yourself a plate.
“What are you talking about? We didn’t have sex” He was getting impatient now. What did you think he was? A playboy? Sure, he’s slept with other women (mostly Steph) but he never just bedded women simply because he was horny. With Stephanie included, there were only 3 in total. The other two he had dated before Steph had finally said yes. That bitch from the club he hadn’t slept with, at least from what he had remembered. Your snicker drove him from his thoughts.
“If you didn't, then why do you have a hickey on your neck? I wasn’t born yesterday.” You walked over handing him a decorative mirror you had hanging up next to the dining room table and walking back to the other side of the kitchen to retrieve your plate from the microwave. Taehyung examined his neck, finding a quarter sized, reddish-purple, spot over the top of his scent gland. Steph must’ve done that after smelling your scent all over him, when she was in his lap. He couldn’t take your accusations on what kind of person he was. He walked over to you leaning up against the counter.
“Why are you acting this way anyways y/n?” You sighed at his cluelessness.
“Because Taehyung, even though you drive me fucking crazy and you make fun of me on a daily basis and your ego makes me wanna punch you in the face sometimes, i was somehow drawn to you. I liked you but i promise that it’ll all be over soon and you can go live your life without me getting in your way. Your being discharged from the system on Monday.” You began walking back to your room, leaving Tae completely stunned.
He ran down the hall after you, grabbing you forearm before you could make it to your safe space.
When you met his eyes, he froze. Your irises had turned aqua blue and were slowly being consumed by the black veins that creeped across your scleras. Your were the most beautiful creature he’d ever laid eyes on. As much as he wanted to be excited for this moment, he refrained. Shifting in a house this small would definitely cause damage. He had to get you outside. Just as he was about to speak, your phone went off. You wiped your eyes answering it and continued off into your room without another word to him.
“Well that was a lot quicker than I anticipated” He shook his head, chuckling to himself.
Chapter 7: Ontierra
This fic contains explicit content. Read at your own risk. I hope you enjoy! <3
Sunday morning you woke with a Migraine from hell. Your immense amounts of crying yesterday had finally caught up. What was that smell? You climbed out of bed, following your nose to the source. It was oddly comforting. If there was any way to describe the scent, the only thing that came to mind was Christmas. Upon opening your bedroom door, the smell became unbearably strong. It's like one of Santa's elves had been running around with a bag full of pine needles and freshly baked snickerdoodle cookies. It was coming from Taehyung's room. A low growl bubbled up from your chest, making you jump. What was that? Indigestion, maybe?
For some strange reason, your senses had been heightened to inhuman levels. What was going on? Were you sick? And what the hell was Taehyung hoarding in that room that was making your house smell so damn good? Did he think you stunk so bad that he went and bought a Yankee Candle or some shit? Whatever in was, made your mouth water. A small, high pitched, whine escaped from your throat. At this point, you couldn't be bothered, solely focusing on Taehyung's bedroom door.
Hearing the rustle of sheets and a low chuckle, you knew you'd been caught. His deep raspy voice sent shivers down your spine.
"I know you're there Y/n."
Blushing, you stepped back, away from the door. Were you being THAT loud? Don't act suspicious Y/n!
"S-sorry. I just, um…….. I just wanted your dirty laundry. I-I was gonna start a new load."
Tae knew you were lying. He knew after he had been woken up from you practically scratching at his door.
"You can come in, you know."
Something drove you forward, twisting the handle. If it weren't for the door frame, you'd be smacking the floor, face first. It was like entering heaven. The scent was absolutely delicious. Your heart rate had gone from 98 to 160 BPM in seconds. The floor felt like it could give out at any second. Next thing you knew you were crawling onto his bed. Your nails digging into the soft white cotton. His breath hitched, watching your every move as your wolf took over. Tae knew that it was a bad idea. If you had your first full shift in broad daylight and in this house (of all places) someone would surely see or hear you, but he couldn't bring himself to stop it. He had been waiting for this moment since he had first found you.
Right before you could bury your face into his neck, you both heard a car pull into the driveway. Taehyung growled in frustration, snapping you from your daze. Your wolf had retreated once again. Stumbling off his lap you muttered a quick apology before bolting out of his room and down the hall. Did that seriously just happen? What the fuck is going on?
Chris and the other officer had only made it up 2 steps before you had ripped opened the front door.
"Toph! What brings you here?"
The young bunny stopped, eyeing your disheveled appearance.
"U-umm w-we came to uh…… we came to talk with you about Taehyung's case. Is it ok if we come in?"
You frowned, nodding. Chris and the officer took a seat on the couch, setting a stack of paperwork on the coffee table. You eyed it suspiciously.
"Noona, are you ok? Your face is super red this morning. Are you sick?" The young bunny's question couldn't have come at a worse time as Taehyung walked past, grabbing his shoes and headed out the front door. You couldn't bring yourself to look at him. He probably found you completely repulsive. Clearly Tae wasn't happy, slamming the door behind him. You figured you'd have to sincerely apologize when he got back.
"Ya. I haven't been feeling well….. what did you need to talk about?"
A few hours later, you'd waved off the 2 officers, watching as they drove away. HRO hadn't given you the authorization to allow Tae to be in public without supervision, thus terminating your job. Ever since Taehyung had waltzed into your life, things had been changing. Now, come tomorrow morning, he'd be gone and so would everything else you'd worked so hard to achieve. It honestly wasn't his fault. He'd offered to stay, but you needed time to yourself. Away from the strange feelings that would bubble up everytime he was home. As much as you would've loved to get away from him and his disparaging remarks, something inside of you yearned to be with him. Why though? Why did you want to subject yourself into humiliation and self hate by a man who belittles and torments you? It was like the way you smelled and looked, aggravated him. Everytime you'd walk into the room, he'd exasperatedly sigh. Then, this morning,…………. You couldn't truly read his face. Clearly he was pissed, but was happy about it?
It was 4:28pm when you’d started on dinner. All day, you had been looking into finding a new job and possibly selling your house. It’s not like you’d be able to keep up on the mortgage. Plus, the only reason you had bought it in the first place was so you’d have enough space for recovering hybrids. It was too much money and space for one human being.
Tae had been speaking with the Head Alpha a majority of the day on your behalf. Of course the council wasn’t to thrilled with a rogue being mated into the pack, but they agreed. They definitely showed interest in you, as rogues born under the blue moon held special abilities. Their main concern was control. Lycan’s usually have their first full shift as pups, usually around the age of 4 or 5. A lycan doesn’t gain full control of their wolf up until age 16. Lycan children weren’t allowed to attend Public schools, for their own safety. Yes, it sounds barbaric, but packs would rather be safe then get a call from the police department saying that their child mauled a teacher to death over being put in time out.
The council finally had its last straw in 1938, when a pup scratched a little boys ear off during recess. That’s when they built Ontierra Academy. A k-12 school that taught everything public schools did and then some.
The Alpha told Taehyung it was dire that you be settled into the den before your first shift, for the safety of the humans and hybrids that lived around you. How would he get you to leave though? You did say that you had feelings for him, so maybe he didn’t have to hold back anymore? This morning had aggravated his wolf. He was so close to finally claiming what was his and that fucking bunny showed up. All he wanted was to caress you and feel the warmth of you skin at the least and bunny boy had to come and fuck it up.
You heard the front door open followed by a huge thud.
“Shit. Y/N! What’s all this paperwork for and why is it right in the walkway?!” You couldn't help the small smile that creeped across you lips. Clearly he had tripped over the box that you’d gotten out of the hall closet. A few seconds later he was stumbling into the kitchen. You silently stirred the pot of spaghetti, paying him no mind.
“Hey, women. What’s all this?” he repeated in a much more relaxed tone. You sighed looking through the cabinets for the jar of pasta sauce.
“Chris was here this morning because HRO felt it was best if i found work elsewhere. So I’m looking into finding a new job and I’m selling this house…. Can you get the garlic bread out of the oven, please?” Taehyung was flabbergasted. You seemed so calm about it all. He knew how much you loved that job. Even if you weren't out in the field, you’d still be typing away on your computer. Going through case files and calling Chris about random work related shit that would cross your mind. Even though Tae felt awful about thinking of your losses in a positive way, they had opened doors. You would have to quit your job anyways. Skittish hybrids would never survive in the den and there was no way in hell that his home would be used as a halfway house. Plus, if you were selling this place, it made his job of moving you to the den that much easier. Now he just had to tell you the truth…
“I wanted to talk to you about something. It’s important.”
His soft tone made you nervous. It had to be about this morning. How could you apologize to him without sounding like a complete psychopath? You were quite certain that an explanation like ‘I’m so sorry that I straddled you earlier. I don’t know what came over me and you just smelled like Santa’s workshop’ wouldn't be that convincing.
Taehyung fidgeted all through dinner. Clearly something had been eating at him and as much as you wanted to know, you dreaded talking about this morning.
“So that thing I wanted to talk to you about…” Oh god here it comes. Your chewing slowed as heat rushed to your face. Tae smirked to himself, knowing damn well that you knew it had something to do with what happened this morning.
“So there’s this old folks tail that my grandma used to tell me about when i was younger… It was about 2 wolf hybrids that fell in love and ran away together.” You sat, frozen in place. Staring at him in confusion as he continued.
“They got married and had a baby under the light of a full blue moon. You see Y/n, blue moons are said to hold immense amounts of power. They can heal people and even grant special abilities. And when she gave birth, the moon had granted her baby the ability to shapeshift. Unlike hybrids, shape shifters appeared human but could shift on command.” A giggle escaped you, putting his story on hold. “Is this a folktale about werewolves or something?” Tae leaned forward scooting your plate further towards him. He smiled, winking at you from across the table before snatching your slice of garlic bread. “Exactly. I’m glad you’re listening.” You quirked an eyebrow at him and sighed.
“So, as I was saying-” “Actually Tae, what you’re referring to is a lycan. There’s a distinct difference between a lycan and a werewolf. Lycans are born pure blooded and can turn on command, anytime they please, only losing control if they are young or if they’re forced into a situation that their wolf feels is life threatening. Where as Werewolves uncontrollably shift during a full moon. They can only shift during a full moon. Usually werewolves aren’t born. They were former humans who had a curse bestowed on them or they were bitten by the very first werewolf in existence, William Corvinus. Once a human was bitten by him, they never truly turned back to their human form until they died. William was executed in the early 13th century when he slaughtered entire villages, turning everyone in his path and causing his wife and their pack into hiding. His wife, who was human, later gave birth to the world's first Lycan, Lucian…” You nonchalantly took a bite of your food, stealing back the piece of garlic bread between Taehyung’s frozen fingers.
Taehyung was completely nonplussed. How did you know so much about Lycanthropy? His mate, the woman who didn’t even know what she was herself, knew all that? Of course it was insanely sexy but how did you know?
You chuckled getting up to clear both plates.
“I know. This is gonna sound stupid, but for the longest time growing up, i thought my parents were Lycans so i would sneak into my dad’s office and take his collection of werewolf and lycan fiction and read them for hours on end.” Tae propped himself against the counter, eyeing you suspiciously. “What made you believe that they were lycans?” You continued washing the dishes, slipping Tae glances from time to time. It was odd that he seemed so intrigued with your life out of nowhere. “Well, my dad kept multiple books on weird things like lycan behavior and lycan history and even Lycan nutrition.” He was lost in thought. Maybe your parents were hunters? No, there’s no way. They would’ve killed you by now. Plus you had told him that they were wolf hybrids. He’d need to investigate later. For now, he had to tell you the truth.
“Ssssooooo do you believe that Lycans exist still?” His question made you blush. As embarrassing as it was, you still had an open mind that they could possibly exist. Hybrids existed so why couldn’t they? You shrugged not having the courage to face him. He probably thought that you were a freak, just like all the other people you talk to about your fascination for the supernatural.
“If you thought that your parents were Lycans, then you’ve had to have dwelled on the idea that you’re one too.” Was he making fun of you? “I guess, but it was so common for hybrids to have human children that that idea came and went pretty quickly, plus, I was a kid. My imagination had no boundaries…… Anyways you never finished your story.” Tae perked up, smiling at how embarrassed you had gotten. “Right. So legend has it that if 2 wolf hybrids have a child on the night of a full blue moon, the child will essentially be a rogue wolf.” You had given Tae your full attention. Hands stopping midway in the soapy water.
“What’s that?” Tae couldn’t stop smiling. This had been so much easier than he had thought. At least for now, anyways.
“Well Y/n, a rogue wolf is a lycan that spends their whole life raised by humans. Most rogues don’t even know that they are lycans at all. There wolf is dormant. Meaning that in order for there wolf to awaken and become one with them, they have to be around other wolves, such as their mate.” The way he said mate, made your heart skip a beat. It was almost like he was implying something, but you were to dense to notice. Electric tension pulled at your insides. You knew that if you made eye contact with him, you were done for. He smiled handing you a dry dish cloth. "Come on, I wanna show you something."
Next thing you knew he was driving you further out of town. It was beautiful being this high up in the mountains. The sun had just set, casting a light blue hue across the tops of the trees. Taehyung would steal glances at you staring out the window, completely entranced by the view. He already loved you so much. Dare he say, even more than he'd loved Stephanie. "Tae where are we going? Is there a lookout up here or something?" He smiled, taking your hand, rubbing the back of it in small circles with his large thumb. You blushed but didn't pull away.
There was a clearing straight ahead. A welcome sign came into view."Ontierra" You'd never heard of this place before. It was a cute little secluded town with a large Reservoir off to the left hand side. Small local shops and restaurants lined the streets. A huge white plantation building came into view. The words 'Town Hall' engraved into the stone.
"That's like our community center. There's a pool and tennis courts on the other side." You were perplexed. He lived here?! He'd driven passed a large grass field with a park, where some kids and who you presumed to be their parents, played happily. Taehyung watched you intently, smirking at the fond smile that had spread across your face from watching the kids squeal and chase each other through the grass. 'One day' he voiced to himself. Tae had turned, heading into a community of widespread homes. They were beautiful. This neighborhood could have only been a few years old. Tae pulled into the driveway of one of the larger homes at the end of the cul-de-sac. This place was like a town for the wealthy. You eyed the large modern farm house in awe. Their had to be at least 4 bedrooms. Wait, was he about to introduce you to family? Good thing you changed into something socially acceptable.
"Welcome to Mi casa" Tae smiled, opening your car door. He proceeded to take you on a tour of the entire house. When he'd shown you the kitchen, you had a moment. You envied the woman who would marry him some day. The backyard was huge too. You could picture 3 kids running around it for hours while his smoking hot, model wife relaxed on the patio. Taehyung's hands creeped up your shoulders, massaging them a bit. "So y/n, what do you think?" You smiled weakly. "Your future wife is a lucky woman." The sincere comment made him smile. "There's something else.." Just as he was about to get into the details, the doorbell rang. Tae shoot you an apologetic smile before hastefully walking off to answer the door. Voices echoed through the house and all the way to the backyard, where you stood. It almost sounded like they were arguing about something. Whatever it was, it was clearly none of your business, walking further out into the patio and taking a seat on the cushioned furniture. About 5 minutes later, a woman appeared stopping dead in her tracks. She was beautiful. Her long white hair trailed down her back. Her pale skin glowed under the soft patio lights. She almost didn't look real. She eyed you cautiously, sniffing the air like some kind of animal. You got up,stepping closer to her with one hand outstretched, smiling uncomfortably. "Hi I'm y/n." She dismissed your greeting circling your body. "So you're his mate, huh?" You furrowed your brows. What in the world is she talking about? She halted in front of you, nodding in approval. "You're definitely not what I expected. Honestly, you're ten times better than I expected. I like it." She smiled grabbing your hand. You were so confused. His mate? Who was this woman? Why were you even here?
A handsome silver haired man appeared carrying 2 beers. He smiled at you nodding politely before focusing his attention on the strange woman in front of you. "Babe, stop pestering her. Give her some space." The man giggled before handing her a beer. He smiled at you apologetically, reaching out his hand. "I'm Jimin and this is my future wife, Ashley. We are good friends of Taehyung. You must be Y/n." You could sense that they were good people. In a strange way, they were both so warm and inviting. "Nice to meet you." You smiled shyly at the two of them.
Taehyung came walking out with a tray of snacks. It wasn't in his nature to do something like that, but he really wanted you to get to know the people in his life.
As the night went on, you found yourself fully immersed in a full on conversation with Ashley. Jimin and Tae bantered on about some Festival that was next week. You glanced over at the two men who had drifted across the yard. "Hey Ashley, can I ask you something?" She nodded happily, popping some grapes into her mouth. "What did you mean earlier, when you mentioned me being Taehyung's mate?" She sighed, leaning back into the cushions. "Have you ever lost control around him? Like for example, he smelled so good, that you just wanted to rip his clothes off?" You blushed, averting your gaze to your feet. Ashley smirked at your cuteness. Before she could even ask what happened you stood up, migrating to the patio couch cushion next to her.
"He smelled like Christmas. Like a freshly chopped Christmas tree and snickerdoodle cookies. It's like I had to take a bite out of him. So I-i straddled him." She cackled so loud, that you both turned to see if it had caught the attention of the two men. When they seemed like they were unbothered, you continued. "It was like, if I didn't bury my teeth into his neck, then and there, I'd die or something." Ashley smiled brightly. "You're his mate alright... Just wait until you have your first heat around him. That's gonna be rough." You glanced at her, a bewildered look plastered to your face. She paused eyeing you before setting her beer on the table. "Oh that's right. Sorry, I forgot you were a rogue." You sat there, staring at her, in silence. What in the world was she talking about? "He hasn't told you yet has he" the look on your face said it all. She let out an exasperated sigh. "That dumbass." She grumbled, adjusting herself, so her small frame sat cross legged. She wasn't that much shorter than you but she was definitely smaller. Her curves suited her petite frame. "This is gonna be a lot for you to process, but I feel like it's better coming from me because I'm a fellow female…… This town your in is called the den. We live like average people. We cook, we clean, we parent our children. We live like any normal person does. We can eat human food, like I did just now. But, we are Lycans." You raised an eyebrow at her in disbelief. Was she messing with you or something? "Look, I know it sounds crazy but trust me.. Think about it.. Your parents are wolf hybrids, correct?" You nod, not saying a word. "Ok. So you know the species quite well. How is it, that we are hybrids without ears and a tail?" Her question made you contemplate the possibilities, not coming up with a proper explanation. Honestly, that debate had crossed your mind, multiple times as Taehyung was staying with you. Hybrids were bred to host their animal features, such as the ears and tails. It wasn't natural to see a hybrid without them unless they're species didn't have them to begin with. Like reptile hybrids. But, most reptile hybrids had at least a tale. Your parents had them.
"Y/n, have you ever felt alone? Like you intimidated people?" You nodded, biting your lip. She grabbed your hand in reassurance. "Have you ever done things that aren't normal to a human? Like growl or whine? Clearly you've smelt things that normal people can't." You shake your head. "But wouldn't it make sense for me to do those things? I mean my parents a hybrids." She inches even closer to you. "Have you ever heard the legend of the Blue Moon?" You shot her a perplexed gaze. "Ya? Taehyung told me about it a few hours ago.."
When Ashley had finished explaining in deep detail, you were flummoxed. The signs that it had been true were all there, but how could it be? Lycans were a mythological creatures. Ya you still believed that there could be a possibility, but within you? She could still tell that you had doubts about everything. She searched for any sign of Jimin or Tae. They must've gone for a run. "Perfect." She murmured to herself, smiling. Running back out to the patio, where she had left you. You looked up at her, your mind to overloaded with information to say anything. She excitedly grabbed your hand, dragging you to one of the empty bedrooms upstairs. "You're like me Y/n. I can tell that you're logical. You like seeing to believe. So I'm gonna show you…. Now before I shift, I wanna promise you, that I won't hurt you. It might look or even sound intense, but I promise you that I have full control of my wolf. Ok?" You stared at her for a few moments before nodding, all rationalism failing you. She began stripping down to nothing, making you blush and avert your gaze to anything but her naked body. "What are you doing!?" She chuckled. "I'm not one to shred an expensive outfit."
A deep growl tore through the silence of the room, you focused your attention back on her, not being able to look away. A shiver ran down your spine, rooting you to the floor. All you could process was that Ashley had been replaced with a large, pure white lycan standing about 5'11. You didn't understand. Were you dreaming? Tears sprang from your eyes, clouding your vision. Hell ya, you were scared, but what could you do? Screaming was pointless. You were in a town full of these creatures. If you ran, it might see you as prey. Ashley stepped closer, breathing in you scent. It almost seemed like she submitted in your presents. Dipping low she met you eye level, placing one hand on the ground. For a moment you began to relax. Reaching your hand out, you touched her jaw, feeling the silky fur. A soft chirping sound rippled from her chest, causing you to jump and pull back.
Suddenly the bedroom door swung opened revealing Taehyung and Jimin. They looked like they'd been rolling in soil for the past 3 hours, sweat glazing their toned skin. Taehyung met your eyes with a worried gaze. Jimin's voice boomed through the room making you flinch. "ASHLEY! STOP!"
The lycan turned away from you. A threatening growl reverberated off the walls before she took off, smashing through the window. Jimin's naked form went after her, shifting when his feet hit the soft grass below. Taehyung's eyes were locked on yours. He couldn't move. You burst into tears, quickly moving across the large room, crashing your face to his chest. He wrapped his arms around you, running his fingers through your hair and gently planting kisses to the top of your head.
"You're one too, aren't you?" You cried, not releasing your grip on his toned figure. He locked his jaw, staring at the smashed window. "Yes." For the first time in his life, he was ashamed of what he was. He hoped you'd never look at him like that. "And I'm one too." It broke his heart to see you this way. "Yes." Your limbs felt heavy as the room began to spin. The last thing you'd remembered was hearing Taehyung's voice before everything went dark.
Chapter 8: Pent up feelings and missing pants
Because the holidays are coming up, i might be slowing down my chapter updates to once a week. Sorry of the convince guys!

Harsh beams of light from the late morning sun, peeked through the window. Everything was so warm. The heat drew you from your sleep, ripping the heavy duvet from your body. Prying one eye opened, you peered around the room. Where the hell were you and why was it so hot? If it wasn't for this sauna of a bed, you probably would have slept for another couple of hours. The room looked oddly familiar. You had remembered seeing it before, but where? After a few moments, it clicked. This was Taehyung's room. His scent was everywhere. It had to have been his room. A large full body mirror in the corner, caught your eye. The shirt that hung from your body, clearly, wasn't yours and where were your pants?
Every memory from last night, came crashing down. A shiver ran down your spine, remembering your encounter with Ashley's wolf. Yet,oddly enough, it just made you more curious about the whole ordeal. You didn't actually believe that she would hurt you. It had just been a lot to process. It's not every day that people turned into giant beings from old folktales.
The most terrifying part to you, was that you, yourself happened to be one of the 'made up' creatures you'd obsessed over as a child. Always drowning yourself in the stupid werewolf teen novels, like blood & chocolate. That was one of your favorites. You finally gave up your love for Lycanthropy at age 18, after focusing more on your job and college papers, than your hobbies. You could NEVER tell Taehyung that. He'd probably hold that above you for the rest of your life.
You knew that there was no way of controlling who you’re mated with. Maybe that's why Tae loathed being near you. His wolf clearly liked you, but he personally didn't? It would explain his aggravation with you. But as to why he was being so affectionate yesterday, made no sense to you. For now, you'd just assume that it was his wolf.
Within just a few weeks, your life has been turned upside down. Between Taehyung, losing your job and now all of this, your stress level was at its max. The drastic changes in such a short span of time were really starting to pile up. What was next? Fucking Mermaids? An apocalypse?!
A light knock on the bedroom door, drew you from your thoughts.
Taehyung’s head popped through the door, throwing you an apologetic smile.
“Hey………… I um, I had a feeling you were awake. I just wanted to know if you were hungry? Oh and I-i brought you some water and advil. It's on the nightstand.” His cuteness was rare. At least from what you’ve experienced. Now you understood why he had reminded you of a puppy on occasion. You smiled, gesturing him to come in. He made his way into the room cautiously, taking a seat in the decorative armchair near the bed.
“You don’t have to be so formal all of a sudden Tae. This is your house after all.” He sighed, resting his elbows on his knees.
“It’s not that Y/n. I just,........ I just am expecting you to run out of here, screaming, after last night.”
You released a shaky breath, staring at the white plush rug.
“I’m not scared of you. It’s myself that I’m afraid of.” He was clearly bemused by your statement. What were you honestly afraid of? Losing it and mounting him again? God, he fucking wished. Hopefully this time, there’d be no interruptions.
“What if I end up hurting someone?” He moved to the opened space next to you, on the bed. It took every ounce of his being to refrain himself from holding you. Tae knew that feeling all too well. There had been multiple accounts that his anger would get the best of him, causing him to lose control of his wolf. Stephanie had a scar to prove it. It was clearly an accident. She was trying to break up a fight and got caught in the middle. Although he hasn’t lost full control since high school, ever since finding you, the possibility of it happening again was quite high. He got off lucky, once already, when he first met you. But there was no saying that it would end well the second time around.
Tae chewed his lip, thinking of all the things that could go wrong. You were so gentle and understanding. Quite frankly, he couldn't see much going wrong, at least not violence wise. Just the uncontrollable shifting and breaking shit….
“Well I’ll be there so……” Tae blushed looking everywhere but you. Before you knew it, you were resting your head on his broad shoulder.
“Why do you do this to me Taehyung?” the question slipped out before you could catch it, but honestly, at this point, you didn’t have it in you to care. He peered down at you through hooded lashes.
“Do what?” Blushing, you sat up, scooting further away from him. You played with the hem of the shirt, avoiding eye contact with him at any means necessary.
“I don’t want you to be forced into this, just because your wolf says so.”
Tae grew silent, lost in thought. What were you talking about? Were you planning on leaving him or something?
“I mean, your girlfriend was insanely beautiful and you looked so happy with her. So why should you have to give all that up, just because your wolf claims that I’m your mate..” He furrowed his brows, bewilderment painted evidently on his features.
“ how do you-” You cut him of, smiling shyly.
“There’s pictures of the two of you, hanging up in the hallway.” Tae was mortified. How could he have forgotten to take them down? Then again, this house was built around the idea of settling down with Stephanie and starting a family… Who was he kidding? Steph hated this house. She’d always bitch and complain about the color schemes and layout of the whole place, including the kitchen. Tae had it built as a surprise, picking out every little detail he could imagine by himself. Clearly, it had backfired in his face. This house had been the center of numerous fights. Resulting in her going on a 'business trip', that would last for months at a time. He secretly caught her one time, after she had posted a photo on social media of her, at a beach, in Cabo…. Tae kept it to himself of course. It wasn’t like confronting her about it would actually get her to stop. Those pictures were one of the first things that he had put up before fully decorating this place. He released an exasperated sigh.
“I forgot to take those down. I’m sorry. I’ll do that today..”
You frowned, sliding out of bed and onto the cold wooden floor. A slight breeze passed over your lower half. Shit. You had completely forgotten that you weren’t wearing any pants. Blushing, you pulled the shirt over your exposed ass. Taehyung stared, drinking in the sight with a slight smirk, he was trying so desperately to hide. Now wasn’t the time to be touching you but the idea was definitely tempting.
Spotting the throw blanket at the end of the bed, you made quick work of wrapping it around your midsection like a towel. You muttered an apology, dropping your gaze to the floor. He pouted at your sudden modesty.. What were you apologizing for? If anything you should’ve been apologizing for covering his amazing view!
“Y/n, why do you constantly apologize to me?” He was so lost. It’s like you were remorseful of everything you did. Like you even breathing in his direction was forbidden. You chewed your bottom lip in one last failed attempt to manage your emotions. You weren’t the type of person to make such rash decisions or become so emotionally connected to someone who made you feel so inferior. Balling your fists and letting out one last shaky breath, you spoke. Your stern gaze locking in on his puzzled expression.
“Because from day 1, you’ve been quite adamant on enlightening me about some, if not all, of my flaws. You always get all tense and moody when i enter the room...You’ve told me that i smell funny and then proceed to walk around my house plugging your nose or holding your breath... You’ve literally poked fun at my weight. Always avoiding looking in my general direction, when I wear something that ISN’T my baggy ass t-shirts and sweatpants. I know that I’m not the prettiest thing in the world, but I am human….. Well Lycan… Oh you know what I mean! All I’m trying to say is that I'm not gonna stay here and torment you even more than I already have!”
The silence of the room was unbearably discomforting. You turned away, busying yourself with the task of finding your clothes and getting the hell out of there. You hadn’t even noticed that you were crying. It was so frustrating sitting back and letting men fuck with your emotions all the damn time. That’s why you’ve stayed single for all these god forsaken years. It pissed you off that all you were to the opposite sex was something to hold them over, until they found someone beautiful. It was better to be alone than to be treated like just another piece of ass. Looked at as easy prey because 'chubby girls aren't supposed to have things like self confidence and standards'.
Just as you were about to head to the bathroom to change, Taehyung’s arms wrapped around your midsection. He gently pulled you to him, burying his face into the crook of your neck. Not knowing what to do or how to react, you froze. A light blush blossomed under your tear stained cheeks.
“Y/n I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to degrade you like that...Why didn’t you tell me these things earlier?”
Your heart rate went straight through the damn roof. What in the actual fuck was he doing?! You’d be lying if you said that you didn’t like it though. Although, the fact that he was touching your soft stomach was a bit uncomfortable. Your voice was almost inaudible when you spoke.
“I-i didn’t think that it would matter… I’m used to it.” Before he could respond, the blanket unraveled from your waist, pooling on the at your feet. Panicking, you bent down to retrieve it, but to your dismay, the efforts were pointless. He wouldn’t release your waist enough to reach the plush like fabric. He growled in warning, tightening his hold on you.
“Tae, I-i’m not wearing any pants! Why are you being like this?”
He smirked nuzzling further into your neck. You were so adorable. He couldn’t stand it.
“I like you better this way.” His muffled response had you in shambles. If you had a thermometer in your mouth, you swore that it would explode, like in the old cartoons.
“To be honest, at first, I did hate that I found you. I didn’t understand why you had to be my mate, when i had already been dating Stephanie. Actually, the first night that we met, I was planning on proposing to her at dinner, but she had ditched me for the millionth time. I knew she was cheating on me. I had known for about 4 years, but I didn't stop her because I thought we were in love.” You relaxed a little, too focused on his story to notice that you were being swayed from side to side. You listened as he continued, planting a soft kiss to the nape of your neck.
“I was so angry that you waltzed into my life and interfered with my future with a woman who had made me the one she’d fall back on, when her beloved plans of having ‘variety’ went to shit… I’m sorry that I made you feel this way.. I’d get annoyed because you’re so addicting.” You stiffened, staring at the bathroom door handle.
“I mean I don’t wanna pull some cheesy twilight bullshit, but you literally are my personal strain of heroin.” You went limp. How did he have to go and ruin a romantic moment like that? Was this all a big joke to him? Frowning you tried escaping from the confinement of his grasp, for a second time. He giggled pulling you closer to his chest.
“Y/n please don’t. Ok, I’ll be serious. I promise.” Once you stilled, he continued.
“In all seriousness though. You do smell really good.” He smiled, lightly sniffing at your neck.
You rolled your eyes.
“Ya and what do I smell like, huh? Heroin?” Smirking he nipped playfully at your shoulder, making you flinch.
“Fun fact Y/n. Heroin doesn’t have a scent… I mean technically it does, but it’s not overbearingly noticeable like other drugs.” You looked back at him, utterly perplexed.
“I’d rather not know how YOU know this.” He chuckled, planting a chaste kiss to your temple.
“Anyways, to me, you smell kinda like a creamsicle." He went on explaining when you hadn't responded.
"You know, that ice cream bar that has vanilla ice cream on the inside and an orange popsicle shell on the outside?" You smiled placing your hands over his.
"Yes, I know what a creamsicle is… You know what's weird?" Tae rose up placing his chin on the top of your head.
"Hm?" You paused biting your lip.
"You smell like Christmas to me." He burst into a fit of giggles at the comment.
"I knew I overheard you say something like that yesterday! I didn't know if i had heard you right! At first, i thought you guys were making Christmas party plans or something, when we haven't even made it through the blood moon."
You shifted in means of seeing his expression. He'd heard you!?
"We are Lycans, remember? I'm surprised that the two of you hadn't eavesdropping on Jimin and I's conversation."
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, Taehyung spoke, snatching you from your peaceful daze.
"Y/n, please stay with me"
Chapter 9: The councils threat
Hey guys! Through the holiday season, I'll only be posting once a week. Sorry for the inconvenience. Happy Holidays!

The hairs on the back of your neck rose. The air between the two of you had completely changed. Taehyung paused, a defensive growl rumbling from his chest. His attention, that had been on you, just moments ago, now snapped to the closed bedroom door. Detaching himself from you, he made his way out of the room and down the stairs. You stood there, rooted in place. The discomfiture of the room enveloping the small amount of composure you had been grasping onto for dear life.
What just happened? Had he really asked you to stay? What does that even mean? Like a night? A week, maybe? You gulped feeling your stomach drop to the floor. Forever?..... You sat in the armchair contemplating the possibilities.
Downstairs, Taehyung had made his way onto the front porch, watching a large SUV pull into the driveway. A tall man in slacks and a button-up stepped out. Fixing his sunglasses, he smiled, shaking his head at the younger wolf’s territorial nature.
“Easy Tae. I’m just here on the order of the council.”
Tae watched the man’s every move as he made his way up the porch steps.
“Let’s talk in the back. And Najmoon, please don’t touch anything this time. Ashley already smashed a hole through the side of my second floor last night and I'm really not in the mood to replace or repair anything else today.” His exasperated reply made Namjoon smile, following Tae to the back yard.
Namjoon was next in line with becoming the Head Alpha. He was handsome, smart, talented, patient and an overall good leader, just like his father. The only downfall to him was his ability to break everything he touched,........ And one other thing, of course. Last time he had come over, Namjoon had managed to break 3 ceramic cups and the glass door to the yard, forcing Tae to remodel. Ya, the oversized sliding glass doors were definitely an improvement, opening up the entire wall to the backyard, but it wasn’t something he had been forced to look into until the god of destruction ripped the entire door frame out of placement. The other obstacle was Joon’s little sister, who just happened to be his ex,... Stephanie..
Tae sat on the patio furniture eyeing Joon suspiciously.
“ So, how are you since you and Steph split?” The question had come out so calm that it had Tae on edge. In all honesty, he had thought that Joon had shown up BECAUSE he had broken up with his sister. Tae sighed leaning forward. It wasn’t like Joon and him weren’t friends. They were actually quite close. He looked up to the older wolf like a brother, but when Steph got involved, she had put up boundaries and limitations on who Tae could and couldn’t hang out with. She thought that it was weird that her boyfriend was best friends with her older brother. Ever since then, they had kind of drifted apart. Most of the time their schedules didn’t link up or Stephanie was over. The last time they had spoken was at the pack dinner they have once a month, at the commons. Joon pierced his lips, finally sitting down on the plush cushions.
“Look Taehyung, I honestly think that you made the right choice of leaving my sister. My family and I have actually been wanting you to leave. In fact, we’re hoping that she finds her mate at the Blood Moon festival next week. Maybe she’d finally calm down and stop causing problems within the council.”
“Ya, I’m hoping so too. You know how possessive Steph is. I’m worried that she’ll challenge Y/n, when they finally meet.”
Joon laughed shaking his head. It was good to relax and catch up with his childhood friend but that wasn’t the reason that he came.
“So clearly she’s here. I can smell her. I’m assuming that you’ve told her everything and she’s moving in?”
Taehyung pierced his lips, avoiding the older wolf’s steady gaze.
“I actually was about to until you showed up.”
Namjoon ran his fingers through his golden-brown locks, turning his attention to the topic at hand.
“Taehyungie,... You have to get her to stay, otherwise, I have no control over what the council will proceed to do… They out ruled my father’s word on the matter…. Her wolf is awakening and even if she isn’t comfortable with you, she at least needs to live within the safety of the den… The council is apprehensive of her even existing within our pack’s territory……. They already agreed that if she shifts and hurts someone or someone sees her, after not complying, they’ll be forced to hunt her for the pack’s safety.”
Taehyung began seeing red. No, the fuck they would not! If any of them even breathed in your direction, he’d rip their throats out. He could give two fucks what the council was worried about. If they had the nerve to even mention hurting his mate in front of him, they wouldn’t survive.
He stood, clenching his jaw. He knew that it wasn’t Namjoon’s fault. Joon and his father only resorted to violence if it was the only option they had left. It took every ounce of Tae’s being to keep his wolf under control.
“I’ll call you. For now, I need you to leave.”
Namjoon nodded silently, standing from his spot. He made his way to the back gate before pausing on the latch.
“You might want to claim and mark her before the Blood Moon Festival. I heard this is supposed to be the largest festival we’ve had in 100 years. There’s going to be hundreds of males, from all over the world attending and I’m not gonna lie, her scent is quite potent. Oh, and by the way, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jungkook are back from trading with the clans overseas. Now since my sister and you are split up, they’d like to see you.”
Growing up, they were all inseparable. All 7 of them. Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Tae and Jungkook. They called themselves OT7. The 7 were considered the ‘bad boys’ of Ontierra. Always goofing off and getting in trouble with the council. That is until Joon was chosen to be the next Pack Leader. With him being gone and Steph feeling the need to control Tae, they slowly drifted apart. Jimin, of course, was still close to all of them. He would always try and get them all back together. Last time he had succeeded, Stephanie dragged Tae home before they could even have dinner together. He could never understand why she acted that way. It wasn’t like the old days. They weren’t planning on getting trashed and raiding the forest like before. Namjoon and Hoseok were fathers now. They clearly had put those days far behind them. So what was so wrong with them hanging out now?
Tae watched him drive off. Things were moving so quickly. He didn’t want to push you into everything. Just getting you to open up was hard enough and now everyone expected him to make you his like it was as easy as buying a doll from the store. He didn’t want to push you into things like this. He was falling for you hard with every day he spent with you and he’d give his left kidney to have the ability to lose himself in you, but he wanted to take things slow…. Mating wasn’t slow. It was the complete opposite. Once a wolf found his mate, he’d claim her within a few days, if not, that same night. Taehyung found you almost 2 months ago….. There were countless times that he would have to hold himself back or go for a run just to refrain from practically raping you. It was just in animals' nature. Humans wouldn’t understand. Mating was all consensual, even though to them, it wouldn’t look so… What hybrids and Lycans alike didn’t understand is that when a human found there partner, some would wait months, if not years, to finally have sex. He would assume that because you thought you were human for all these years, that you’d host the same morals.
You had given up on finding your pants. Opting for the biggest pair of Taehyung’s boxer briefs that you could find. They were a little snug but luckily, they stretched beyond your expectations. You scavenged the kitchen for food. Only finding meat, pizza rolls, and leftover takeout boxes. Clearly he hadn’t gone grocery shopping. He was staying with you. Frowning you got out a plate from the cabinet, heating up the little balls of lava. If you haven’t burned the living shit out of your mouth from eating the little bastards, you’ve been eating them wrong.
You paced the kitchen, wiping down the dusty countertops and unloading the dishwasher. Trying to busy your mind as you waited for your ‘wholesome meal’. His words playing over and over in your head like a broken record. “Please stay with me.” What does that even mean? Like the night? A few days, maybe? Or was he talking moving in?.... Everything was moving so quickly that you hadn’t had time to clear your mind and weigh out the possibilities of your current situation. Having Taehyung cling to you as he had, was definitely not helping and would take some getting used to. The feeling of being in his arms amazing. You honestly wanted him to touch you more but you didn’t want to admit that. What if he thought that things were moving to fast as well? Then again, he did ask you to stay and it usually never takes this long after finding your mate… It wasn’t like things were moving to fast between the two of you. Honestly, you were raised by hybrids. This speed was normal. It was losing your job and knowing that you were a lycan that was a lot.
The random topic of mating flooded your mind. If you were Taehyung’s mate, he’d expect you two to have sex eventually.. It’d been almost 5 years since you’d been sexually active. What if you don’t remember what to do? What if you sounded awful? What if he is only saying he likes your body but once you take it all off, he hates it?.... Then again, feeling his lips run up your inner thigh sounded nice. The microwave beeped loudly, jerking you from your fantasies. The thoughts set your cheeks aflame.
Tae had been sitting outside, thinking about Namjoon’s conversation when he smelt it. His hackles shot straight up, sending shivers down his spine. His pupils dilated, as adrenaline slowly began pumping through his veins. “What is she doing in there?”
Chapter 10: Pizza Rolls and Deprivation
Sorry that it's been a while. The holidays have been crazy. I hope you enjoy! <3

Taehyung came screeching to a stop, peering at you with a confused expression plastered to his face. You were bent over the kitchen counter, struggling with a half-eaten pizza roll hanging from your mouth. You glanced at him for only a split second before the scorching hot filling oozed from the corner of the crust, burning the living shit out of your damn mouth. You winced, dropping it on the plate, cursing out loud. Tae was utterly perplexed by the scene before him. He smelled your arousal yet here you are, fighting with a plate of Totinos. How the fuck does that work? What the hell were you thinking about? Out of all the things that could actually turn you on, pizza rolls? Really? His wolf became restless. He slowly stepped forward, his eyes falling to your bottom half. He wet his lips, smirking to himself.
“Are those MY boxers?”
You froze, wide-eyed, covering as much as you possibly could with the loose fabric of his shirt. Your face went crimson, lowering your head to the tile floor.
“Ya… I-i couldn’t find my pants and I didn't know where you went so I just found the biggest pair that I could. I can go change if you are worried that I’ll stretch them out?”
Tae bit his lip to refrain the smile from your dumb, yet adorable, indirect apology.
“Why do you feel the need to say those kinds of things?” When you didn’t reply, he moved forward, placing his index finger under your chin. He lifted your head to meet his soft gaze.
“I hate hearing you say those things about yourself. Just because you aren’t a size 0, doesn’t mean that you aren’t already stunning just as you are. But if you’re that worried you’ll stretch out my clothes then maybe you should just take them off.”
You’re head sprung up, glaring at him with rosy cheeks. “What are you playing at? Are you trying to seduce me?”
Taehyung chuckled, his tongue running across his lower lip. He released your chin, redirecting his hand to the collar of the loose fabric around your neck. His fingertips lightly brushed your collar bone, sending a shiver down your spine. He was barely touching you and yet you were already in shambles. His free hand grabbed your waist, squeezing gently. Tae smiled upon hearing the faint hitch of your breath. His gaze traveled down to your lips, the hand that had been playing with your collar, now entangled itself in the hair at the nape of your neck, as his lips gently pressed against yours. You melted to him, stepping closer. Tae growled softly deepening the kiss, backing you into the kitchen island. The cold marble countertop, cooling the inflamed skin at the small of your back. You parted your lips, allowing him access and he gladly took it, greedily devouring every inch of your being. His intoxicating scent made your head spin. Slowly, you felt yourself slip away. All you could think about was how you wanted more. How you needed more of him. Taehyung tried his hardest to keep his wolf under control. The last thing he wanted was to scare you away and/or worse, end up being too rough and risk hurting you. He ran his hands down your waist, before lifting you onto the countertop, with ease. The act had you in shock, clutching the front of his shirt for dear life. No man has ever picked you up, without dropping you to the floor, within a matter of seconds. They'd usually give up, making stupid excuses, like that their back was sore or that they couldn't get a proper grip. Clearly, you knew it was simply the fact that you were just too heavy, but Taehyung had lifted you like you weighed nothing. Of course, you weren't given much time to dwell on the thought as he broke from the heated kiss, moving just below your jawline. He inhaled your scent, before leaving sloppy, opened mouth kisses down your neck. His fangs lightly grazed the side of your jaw. A slight whimper, that was more beast-like than human, slipped past your lips. Heat pooled between your legs, leaving Taehyung completely rutted. He had never been this turned on in his entire life, not even with Stephanie. It was on a whole nother level of desire. He began sucking harshly on your scent gland, a low growl ripping from his chest. A part of you that you didn’t quite understand, knew what he was about to do. Marking was quite common in both hybrids and lycans alike. Where the male would bite down on a gland, usually located a few inches below the ear, on the neck. You knew, in the back of your mind, that it would be excruciatingly painful, but at that very moment, you really didn’t care. All you wanted was for Tae to make you, his. You allowed more access to him, anchoring your head to the opposite side. Tae picked up on what you were doing, his hackles rising in anticipation. He pulled away licking a strip from your collar bone, to just below your jaw, sending pulses of electricity straight to your core. How much longer was he gonna wait? You reached around to his back, digging your sharp nails into the cotton fabric of his black shirt. He was trying so hard to be gentle. He really was, but you were making it 1000 times worse for him.
“Please.” Your small whimpers, sent his wolf into a frenzy, grabbing a handful of your hair at the nape of your neck and yanking your head back, to look up at the ceiling. Just as he was about to bury his fangs into you, a high pitched chuckle hoaxed you both from your high. Taehyung growled pulling away from you in an instant.
“God DAMNIT, Ash!!! WHAT do you WANT?!?!” You flinched as Taehyung’s fist came down on the counter, near your thigh, cracking the marble. You didn’t know what came over you. Whether it had been the desire or you were just that insanely deprived, but you snapped. What DID this woman want and why now, when you were so close?
“Awe, I’m glad to see you too Tae! Good thing I showed up before you ate her, right? Now, move out of my way.” If it hadn’t been for your sexual frustration, you would’ve loved her sarcastic response, but right now, all you wanted to do was throw a pizza roll at her. She grazed past the two of you, looking through the sparse cabinets and close to an empty refrigerator.
“Ash, what are you doing here? Where’s Jimin?” Irritation clearly laced your curiosity.
“Who’s Jimin?” Her snarky comment sparking your concern. Had you been the cause of a fight last night, after she ran off? She sensed your discomfort, rolling her eyes and sighing heavily.
“I’m actually here because next week is The Blood Moon Festival and blah blah blah, we need to go shopping.” She crossed her arms leaning against the sink. Tae rubbed the back of his neck, sheepishly. He had completely forgotten that today they were all supposed to go grocery shopping for the feast. Ashley had been in charge of 3, very large, side dishes and had asked to borrow Tae’s kitchen because somehow, he had more counter space.
“Aah- sorry Ash, I forgot.” He flashed the white-haired woman an apologetic smile.
“Ya, sure. Just go fetch your BFF so we can get this wolfy wagon moving.” You fought back a giggle, watching Taehyung leave out the front door, biting your lip slightly. You winced as a sharp fang lightly pierced the soft skin. Were your teeth sharper?
“Oh my god, your eyes Y/n!” Her excitement tearing you from your thoughts. She grabbed your cheeks in utter fascination, examining you like some kind of newfound creation. What was wrong with your eyes? It was almost like she had read your mind, smirking to herself.
“I’ve heard stories of what children of the blue moon look like but I never thought that I would actually see one for real. God, your eyes are so fuckin cool.” When you hadn’t replied, she took your hand, yanking you from the counter, guiding you to the spare bathroom just outside the kitchen. You froze, catching a glimpse of yourself in the vanity mirror. Your irises had completely turned white, with small aqua blue stains, resembling the crater details on the moon. They were like little moons themselves. Your pupils were also gone. Your irises had taken up a large majority of your scleras. Panic began to settle in the pit of your stomach. Were you about to turn?! What should you do? Clearly you can't go out like this, can you!? Ashley rubbed soothing circles into your back. She knew you were scared of your wolf. How could you not be? It still made even Ash nervous when her wolf took over, not really knowing what she was capable of.
"Trust me. I know it's a lot but being a Lycan isn't as scary as it looks. I promise….. I bet you that Tae hasn’t even seen your eyes in their true form yet, making me the first one.” She snickered, folding her arms and leaning up against the wall.
“True form?” You glanced at her in the mirror, as she sighed continuing.
“When a wolf is born, all of our eyes are the same aqua/black color, but over time, as we start to develop, our eyes turn. Tae’s probably seen your born eyes but not this. This has to be new, considering that you haven’t turned fully yet. He probably triggered it…. See now they're gone.” She pouted picking at her nails. Your eyes had gone back to normal, to your relief, humanity swallowing your wolf once again. Who knew when it’d be back.
You turned to her, instinctively dropping your head onto her shoulder. Ashley was the only one that understood you right now. It’s not like you could have a girl talk with Taehyung. What were you gonna do? Bitch to him about bleeding every month?... Come to think of it, lycans didn’t have monthly periods…….
You sighed heavily into the fabric of Ash’s lace top. It had been a month since you had your last period. Normally, you’d been excited about this kind of news, especially since you clearly are inactive, but you knew what that had to have meant. Being around Taehyung had set your body into a heat cycle. Instead of a period each month, female hybrids and Lycans went into heats, once or twice a year.
“Ash, can I ask you a legitimate question?” Her eyebrow rose in curiosity, humming a response.
“Can you fill me in on lycan heats please?” She snorted pushing herself off the wall, making her way out of the bathroom and to your plate of pizza rolls. She popped one in her mouth, scrunching in disgust. The pizza rolls had gotten cold after being abandoned for more than 30 minutes. Ash pushed the plate away, hoisting herself up onto the countertop, to take a seat. You blushed thinking about how effortlessly you’d been placed up there only minutes ago. If you tried by yourself, it’d probably take you throwing a leg over the side and rolling on top of it, like you were lazily getting out of a pool.
“So you wanna know about heat cycles, huh? You worked with hybrids so you should know the basics... What is it you wanna know exactly?”
Ashley was so straight forward, which for you, made it so much easier to talk to than any of the friends you’ve had in the past.
“Well is the duration period of a lycan the same as a hybrid? Wolf hybrids, for example, have a heat every 6 months and it lasts for about 6 to 7 days..” Ashley pierced her lips, clearly uninterested in your facts about hybrids.
“Ok well, for me, at least, I don’t know about anyone else. My heats are about 9 days long if you include pre-heat. I only get 1 a year.” She hesitated, concentrating hard on the subject.
“Actually, come to think of it, my friend Mari has 2 heats a year and her heats are long as fuck. They’re like 14 days long, with her pre-heat included. I guess it really just depends on your wolf honestly.” You stared at her in disbelief. A fucking 14 day-long period, where all you want to do is fuck!?! Are you kidding!? She laughed at your reaction, kicking her legs out in front of her. She could almost read your mind, shaking her head as she continued.
“It’s not all sex Y/n.. Pre-heat is mostly just PMSing. Like mood swings, cravings, water weight. The normal human PMS symptoms. Then, after about 4 days of that, it’s all about sex…. So technically my actual heat is about 3 days long.” Her news was supposed to comfort you, but you couldn’t stop thinking about this Mari chick and the fact that if her PMS was 4 days long, that meant she’d need nonstop sex for 10 fucking days straight!!! Ash smirked tapping her nails on the marble countertop.
“I mean at least you have Taehyung. From what I saw, he looked like he’ll REALLY be taken care of your needs.” She giggled, winking at you. Turned bright red, slapping her knee playfully. You couldn’t help but giggle along with her.
Before you knew it, the two men were in the kitchen. Jimin held onto a Coffee and a large, black, rectangular box with the label “Roseshire” across the top of it. He sheepishly made his way over to the two of you handing them both over to the white-haired beauty, muttering apologies, to win back her love. Ash rolled her eyes, opening the box after a long sip of her coffee. Her eyes lighting up, ever so slightly, as she examined the contents. Inside were a dozen white roses, neatly placed in rows of 4. Even you yourself were impressed by the simple gesture. Then again, you’ve never gotten a gift from a man, other than your dad… The closest you’d gotten was when Chris gave you a bag of chips. He hadn’t realized that they were bacon-flavored…. Clearly bunnies don’t eat meat…
Jimin had ended up taking Ash out for the rest of the day, tossing their plans of grocery shopping for the festival, out the window. As much as Taehyung wanted to touch you, he was busy scheduling contractors, the rest of the day, for repairs to the upstairs room and now, the large crack in the kitchen as well. You’d asked to borrow his car to run some errands yourself. At first, he was quite apprehensive about the idea of you going alone but finally caved in after a few minutes. You shyly kissed him goodbye before driving away. You figured being away from him and this town would give you some kind of clarity, at least for the time being. It gave you time to properly think about everything.
You sat in the driveway staring at the house that you had called home for almost 2 years now. The amount of work and time that it took you to make it look as nice as it did, should’ve been enough to make you want to stay. Your whole life had revolved around pleasing others, always hoping that you could actually make people happy. In the process, however, you’d completely abandon your own happiness. This house was more of a prison than an actual home. Never going out with friends, although, it’s not like they invited you anyways... Taehyung was right, you did work too much, but what else were you supposed to do? Your job was all you truly had. He could obviously tell that you had made this house your emotional security blanket. The idea of you being secluded and alone all the time ate at him. He liked the idea of being with someone who didn’t party as much as Stephanie did, but he did want to see you get out and do at least something fun.
After loading up Tae’s car with a few boxes and 2 large suitcases, you went back inside, plopping down onto the couch. You stared blankly at the mortgage agreement resting on the coffee table, in front of you. There was no way in hell that you’d be able to pay that shit now. This house would be foreclosed within a few weeks and honestly, you didn’t really care. Should you care? Even if you weren’t agreeing to move in with Tae, you’d still have to leave. Maybe it was time to close this chapter in your life.
For the first time, you felt like you could actually be happy by just being yourself. It’d take a while to warm up to the idea of having people, other than your parents, actually enjoying your company, but it was a step you were willing to take. Ashley and you actually had quite a bit in common and she was easy to talk to. You hadn’t even known her for a full 24 hours and yet it felt like you two had been best friends for years. It was strange how easy it was to get comfortable around her. Usually most of the time, your friends were dudes. You’d always been looked at as Y/n, the big sister of the group. Females were usually harder to bond with and you did have a few female friends, but you felt like a stranger when you’d actually get the opportunity to spend time with them.
Your cellphone rang, jolting you from your daze. Absentmindedly, you answered, not even taking notice of the caller ID.
“Hi, sweetheart! It’s dad!”
Panic settled in the pit of your stomach. What were you gonna tell your parents? Can you tell your parents?
“H-Hi, dad!” There was a long pause on the phone before he spoke. Your parents knew when something was off.
“Ok, spill it. What's going on?” You couldn’t help the weak smile that infectiously began spreading across your lips.
“Well, don’t tell mom just yet, but I,..... I kinda met someone.”
“Oh? Is he human?” You chewed your lip nervously, looking to the floor.
“Um, well, not exactly... He’s my mate... ” The phone call fell silent. You could faintly hear your mom’s frantic voice in the background before your dad continued the conversation.
“Y/n what is he?” His tone through you for a loop. Just seconds ago, he was so calm and collected, and now, it sounded as if he had seen a ghost or something.
As you were conjuring up ways to maneuver the subject, your phone beeped, announcing another incoming call. THANK GOD! You didn’t have to lie or tell them anything just yet!
“Dad I gotta go. Someone is calling me. I love you! Tell mom I said I miss her! Bye!” Not waiting for a response, you hung up the call, answering the next.
“Y/n, where are you? Are you ok?” His deep voice was like music to your ears. Smiling widely, you gathered up paperwork for the house into a filing box.
“Ya, I’m fine! I’ll be there in like 25-30 minutes tops. I promise.” You could almost hear a sigh of relief on the other end before he spoke.
“Ok. Be careful. Do you remember where you’re going?” You giggled to yourself rolling your eyes.
“Yes, Taehyung. I know where I’m going. I’ll be there in a bit.”
On your drive back to Ontierra, all that crossed your mind was boundaries that needed to be set. What happened this morning felt amazing, but to you, it was moving too fast. The desire and need for him were evident, yes, but it had also been years since anyone had touched you like that. It was an overwhelming thought to process. Going from 0 to 100 like that within a little over a month was too much.
The sun began to set, casting a peachy hue over the trees. It had only been a few hours since you’d left Ontierra, but upon entering the town limits, it was like you’d been gone for ages. The locals seemed more active than when you left. Men in Orange vests had begun directing traffic, stopping cars to get their information in order to guide them in the right direction. The SUV in front of you came to a halt as a man in an orange vest, carrying a clipboard, came to greet it. He began jotting down there license plate number and other information the driver had given him before smiling widely and waving them off. The man examined Taehyung’s car suspiciously with a raised eyebrow, as you pulled up alongside him. He leaned up against the window, a smirk appeared on his face.
“So, you must be Tae’s mate. I’m Jungkook. I’m a good friend of his.” You smiled politely, reaching your hand out to him. He gladly took it widely smiling back at you, revealing his bunny-like teeth. If it wasn’t for the absent rabbit ears and tail, you would’ve mistaken him for a bunny hybrid, like Chris. He was absolutely adorable.
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Y/n.” Jungkook inhaled sharply, clearly distracted by your unfamiliar scent. A quizzical look playing on his boyish features.
“I’m surprised that Tae is letting you roam around without him right now. Does he know you’re out here?.” You pierced your lips nodding. The man quickly picked up on your discomfort as he frantically tried explaining the situation.
“I didn’t mean to come off as rude, it’s just clear you’re unmarked and it’s very rare to see unmarked, yet mated, females, roaming around town this close to the Blood Moon Festival…. I mean the only ‘mark’ I’m picking up on is that massive hickey on your neck.” Your blood ran cold. What in the fuck is he talking about? Pulling down the overhead mirror you froze. A bruise about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide, painted your skin in shades of red and purple. Mortified, you covered the spot with your shirt collar, shrinking into the seat. Jungkook chuckled at your modesty. It was actually quite common for not only women but men as well, to be seen sporting similar marks. It was in the wolf’s nature. He looked back just as a car pulled up behind you. Patting the top of the vehicle, he winked, clicking his tongue.
“It was nice to meet you Y/n! Say hi to Taehyung for me!” You nodded, too distracted by the monstrosity littering your skin.
When you got home, you bitched Tae out for the embarrassingly large patch. He was more than a bit amused, as he tried to explain to you that it was normal here. That if you were to go shopping, especially this close to a mating festival, you’d see loads of people with a hickey in the same exact spot as yours. Honestly, you thought he was lying until the next day when Ashley came over with one on the opposite side. Her’s was much larger like someone had taken hit her, full force, with a baseball bat. Tae started laughing at how traumatized you’d became from her nonchalant response. She sighed happily, stating that if you thought the one on her neck was bad, then you should see the one on her inner thigh. You remember hearing her mutter ‘best night ever’ as she poured herself a cup of coffee, completely content with her life.
The next few days had passed, you’d started adapting to Taehyung’s clingy nature. There wasn’t a day that he wouldn’t latch to you for at least an hour or two. Of course, you didn’t mind it, always pushing to get more out of him. A few led to heated makeout sessions, that he’d break away from, saying that he needed to go for a run or there was an errand that needed to be taken care of. He didn’t even sleep in the same room as you. If he had said it was hard to keep himself away from you, then why was he acting this way now? As much as you tried disregarding your insecurities, they’d still bubble up when he’d decline your invitation to sleep with you, in his own bed. It especially hurt when he’d just up and leave in the middle of what you thought was an intimate moment. Regrettably, you’d slowly started slipping back into your self-conscious ways. The affection that he’d offer, you’d accept but it made you wonder why he’d even give it, if the outcome was so disappointing. Maybe it was Stephanie? Ashley had told you about how much he loved her at one point. Maybe his feelings for her were starting to get to him? No, it couldn't be that. What the hell was his deal then? You'd made it a goal to talk to him about it later.
