Famous for being the "God of Destruction", Kim Namjoon though immensely proud of his title, sometimes wished he wasn't cursed to be the clumsiest in the group.
Yoongi yelled at him almost weekly for breaking things, apologizing after with a hug. Hoseok rolled his eyes affectionately every time Namjoon tripped on anything.
Hurting himself accidentally also had to be one of his curses. It happened more often than not.
"Hey Namjoon can you get my headphones from my room?" Yoongi asked.
Namjoon sighed in annoyance. What had he done to deserve a hyung who couldn't get up and get his own stuff himself?
Yoongi clapped his hands. "Quick, quick!"
Sighing, Namjoon got to his feet and went to the eldest rapper's room.
The room was a mess, as usual. Clothes strewn on top of the bed and countless old wrappers on the floor made Namjoon curl his lip in distaste. And people said Namjoon was messy.
It took a while to find the headphones, especially with Yoongi continually clapping from the living room.
"Here." Namjoon handed the headphones to Yoongi who nodded.
"What took you so long?"
"Oh nothing much, just your dirty underwears that are littered everywhere in that room disgusted me."
"Hey," Yoongi put his hand over his heart. "My underwear is everyone's underwear."
Namjoon rolled his eyes.
"Rap Mon hyung?" Jungkook called from the doorway.
Jungkook's face was white, indicating he was about to ask someone a favour. He was nervously scratching his head. The faint hint of a smile overshadowed him nervously twisting his hands.
"Yeah, Jungkook?" Namjoon asked.
"Could you please help me look for my notebook? I thought I left it in my room, but now it's not there anymore..."
Sighing, Namjoon got up again and followed the maknae out of the living room. Yoongi shot him a smirk as he left.
The leader shook his head. Of course Yoongi was happy that Jungkook had asked Namjoon instead of him.
Jungkook led Namjoon to his room, chattering the whole time. The maknae's loud voice filled the silence. He talked worriedly about his precious notebook, whether Hoseok had accidentally thrown it out when he was cleaning, or whether Tae had sat on it. Namjoon rolled his eyes, but he honestly knew how much that notebook meant to the youngest.
Jungkook's room looked bare (in his opinion). In the maknae's words, it looked like the "light of his life" (his notebook) had disappeared.
Namjoon had been right all along. Jungkook was the king of being melodramatic.
Throwing the bed covers back, Namjoon pulled the pillow off the bed. There was nothing under it. Jungkook wrung his hands and shrugged.
"I looked there."
Namjoon hummed. "Where didn't you search yet?"
Jungkook thought for a moment. After a while, he spoke, "I didn't check Yoongi hyung's room."
"Why...why would your notebook be there?"
"Yoongi hyung was using it to write some lyrics down. He claimed it was sudden inspiration and my notebook was the closest thing he could find."
Namjoon raised his eyebrow, the maknae shyly grinning in response.
"Did he give it back to you?" the leader asked.
"I thought he did, but maybe he took it back after."
Namjoon sighed. "Okay, fine. Let's go to his room."
Jungkook hugged him tightly before dragging him down the hallway. The maknae's sturdy hold almost prevented Namjoon from breathing, but he decided not to complain.
Yoongi's door was shut firmly. Namjoon himself had closed it, lest the revolting smell of underwear spread throughout the dorm. But poor Jungkook didn't know that, so he flung the door open.
"Is that underwear?" Disgust fell onto Jungkook.
Namjoon grimly nodded.
"We need to rescue the light of my life from here quickly!" the maknae screamed, running into the room like he was the hero of an old-school action movie. Grumbling, the leader followed.
The lights were turned on.
Yoongi's pillow was thrown to the floor as Jungkook stripped the bed to look for his notebook. Namjoon tiptoed around carefully gazing at all of the shelves and corners where the eldest rapper might have put it.
"Is this it?"
Jungkook whipped around to see Namjoon holding up a light blue planner with polka dots all over it.
"Yes, yes yes!" the maknae yelled. He dropped Yoongi's bedsheet and ran over to Namjoon to hug him for the second time. "I love you hyung, thank you for finding it!"
A small giggle had just left Namjoon's mouth when he heard Yoongi come down the corridor.
"Why are you guys in my room?"
Jungkook's face turned white. He grasped Namjoon's hand, getting ready to bolt out the door.
Yoongi's footsteps were getting closer.
Jungkook ran out of the room, screaming for Namjoon to hurry up. The leader followed him, both of them giving it their all to avoid Yoongi's lectures.
But one of Yoongi's underwears didn't support their cause.
Just as Namjoon was about to fly out the door, his foot landed on one of them and then he really did go flying. He slid into the wall across from the door, collapsing onto the floor almost immediately. The picture frame on the wall must have been loose, because it fell down. This is why Namjoon told Yoongi to fasten them to the wall properly. Too late now.
Glass from the frame broke and hit his leg at a high speed causing Namjoon to scream.
"Namjoon?" Yoongi ran into his room.
The leader promptly burst into tears, loud sobs mixing with his screams. He flung his arms out begging Yoongi to hug him.
"Hyung? Did Yoongi catch you?" Jungkook peered through the door to see them, but then his gaze softened and he ran to sit beside Namjoon.
Yoongi sighed slowly. "I wish the other members were here right now as well...Kook go and call an ambulance right now, I think his leg is broken."
The maknae obediently got to his feet and within a few minutes his voice could be heard yelling loudly into his phone.
Tears streamed down Namjoon's face and Yoongi swore, he had never felt so bad for someone before. Especially since the reason that Namjoon fell was because of Yoongi's stupid underwear.
Some bitter tears fell down Yoongi's own face as he watched Namjoon hiccup and cry. Feeling a little awkward, he patted the younger's back, hoping it would calm him down a little.
Blood had formed a thick crust on Namjoon's leg, drawing parallel and perpendicular lines all over it. Looking at his wound made the leader sob harder, as if the sight of it increased the pain.
Yoongi suddenly got an idea.
"I'll be right back!"
Namjoon wiped his face with his hands curled up into fists. He looked up at Yoongi and his eyes widened into little circles.
"No-no, Yoongi, don't leave-"
His voice gave out when the rapper didn't listen to him and left the room. Namjoon's big doe eyes filled with sadness, obviously thinking that the rapper had left him because he didn't want to be with him anymore.
"Joon, look what I got for you!"
Yoongi's loud exclamation surprised the leader and all he could do was look up at the rapper as he re-entered the room. The rapper was holding a large Ryan stuffie. Namjoon sniffed and held his arms out for it, still crying uncontrollably.
"I'm done! The ambulance is coming!"
Jungkook screamed. The maknae walked up behind them. Yoongi covered his ears after handing the stuffie to Namjoon.
Jungkook caught sight of how hard Namjoon was crying and his own heart broke into several pieces. The leader hugged the Ryan stuffie to his chest. Yoongi got a little misty-eyed watching Namjoon cry that hard, and even the rapper couldn't look down at his leg.
Loud sirens came from outside and just a little ways from the door, an ambulance parked.
Namjoon wiped his face almost in a frenzy when the paramedics walked in, but they didn't seem to mind that the leader's shoulders were shaking uncontrollably and was hugging a Ryan plushie.
Yoongi stood in the corner as Namjoon glanced at him out of fear. The rapper nodded encouragingly. Namjoon hugged his stuffie before turning to face the paramedics again.
Namjoon was going to be okay.
